Actor Frankie Muniz may be known for his role as the titular character inAgent Cody Banksor for his open-wheel racing career. However, his most popular role has to be his seven-season stint on the Fox sitcomMalcolm in the Middle. The show, which also featured Bryan Cranston was extremely popular throughout its run.
With many shows receiving a revival or a reboot, fans ofMalcolm in the Middleare also clamoring for new material from the beloved show. While a revival of the show has been teased by the cast multiple times, Muniz revealed that the process was closer to reality than usual and that the revival might just happen soon.

Frankie Munizbecame one of the biggest child stars in Hollywood when he starred as the boy genius Malcolm in the Fox sitcomMalcolm in The Middle. The show ran from 2000 to 2006 and also featured Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Justin Berfield, Christopher Kennedy Masterson, and Erik Per Sullivan.

Muniz, Cranston, and Kaczmarek were all nominated for the Primetime Emmy Awards and the Golden Globes for their performances.
Eighteen years after the show ended its run, lead actor Frankie Muniz revealed that a revival of the show was closer to reality than ever. In an interview withPedestrian.TV, he said that though nothing was confirmed, a revival might happen soon despite promising the same for many years. He said,
“The show ended 18 years ago so it’s crazy that there’s still a lot of interest. But I think it’d be a lot of fun to dive into that world and see where everybody is, as adults because really, the possibilities are endless where everybody can be. I’d love to explore it. And I know there are conversations happening.”

While Frankie Muniz’s experience may not be as dark as the aforementioned actors, the former child star mentioned that he once walked off the sets ofMalcolm in the Middlein protest against the makers as they were being extremely controlling and rude. While talking on the reality showI Am A Celebrity, the actor reportedly recounted his experience,
“I walked off the set. Everyone was so afraid to stand up when certain people were controlling or rude or disrespectful. Like they walked on pins and needles. I was so mortified by seeing people afraid to stand up for themselves, I was like: ‘Say something.’”
He mentioned that he did not return to film for two episodes of the show as a consequence. He also said how his stardom and being the lead actor in the show helped the situation and that the issue was resolved later.
