The upcoming wave of new content has been revealed recently, and the game’s next Warbond is the game’s version of traditional Battle Passes in live-service games. The Warbond will remind you of a beloved Intellectual Property that enjoys a cult following.

The leaks on the upcoming Warbond, titled ‘Polar Patriots,’ were shared on Twitter by an account called ‘Helldivers Alerts.’ The leak showed that the upcoming Warbond forHelldivers 2would feature new outfits for players, which seemed straight out ofStar Wars.

Many fans even started comparing the leaked outfits to the ones sported by Snowtroopers, a variant of the infamous Stormtroopers who work for The Empire or the First Order, depending on your opinion:

Some fans even expressed that the pace at which new content was being released for the title wasn’t allowing them to keep up.

But the above shouldn’t be a problem for players, as Battle Passes inHelldivers 2do not expire.This approach to Battle Passes has also inspired many games. They are permanent and can be accessed anytime after the player purchases one. So, investing doesn’t mean one needs to grind to get their money’s worth perpetually.
While the new content for the game is promising and seems to excite players, Helldivers 2 needs to ensure that it is fixing its glaring issues. Players upset about these have no chance of taking shots at the developers for not fixing them already.

These issues range from the game’s unfair fire damage to unforgiving fire tornadoes, which have been impossible to deal with in the past.

Some players even mentioned that the studio nerfing weapons left, right, and center to keep the meta in check and regularly refreshed have not been appreciated by them.

This is because when nerfs and buffs are applied to the game’s meta too frequently, there is little to no consistency present, making more players try to figure out what to use than actually playing the game.
While the studio has been responsive about many of the game’s issues and has rectified them in time, it may focus more on maintenance than regular content refreshes. This will help the game stay relevant for longer.
