InClair Obscur: Expedition 33, you have to fight Chromatic Glissando before you can find out what happened to Lune’s parents. While this is an optional fight, it isn’t something you want to miss, as it gives you a chance to learn more about her.

This giant worm doesn’t have any hands to throw, but that doesn’t stop it from smashing its head or swiping its giant tail at you. And if you aren’t careful, it can even eat up your expeditioners and make you regret showing up unprepared.

How To Prepare For The Chromatic Glissando Fight

The Chromatic Glissando is weak to Ice and Dark damage. So, Lune and Sciel are the best party members for this fight.

Avoid taking Light or Earth element weapons or skills, as Chromatic Glissando resists them.

Best Gestral Monoco is ideal for this fight as it has some pretty strong skills that cover both Ice and Dark elements. You could also go with Verso if you have a good Ice or Dark weapon, as he has several skills that deal damage using the element of his weapon.

As for Maelle, I wouldn’t recommend her as most of her skills deal Fire, Physical, or Void damage. So, only use her if she is your best damage dealer.

Chromatic Glissando has a handful of attacks, but some that you must absolutely be wary of when choosing whether to dodge or parry. So, to help you get better prepared for this fight, here are the moves it can use against you and the best party members and their skills for this fight:

Best Party Members

My team for this fight consisted of Lune, Sciel, and Monoco at levels 71, 71, and 79, respectively. In this team comp, I didn’t align a specific role of support or damage dealer to any particular character; instead, all of them had skills that could fulfill both roles.

Starting withLune, she will be the one who deals Ice damage in this fight. So her best skills are Ice Lance and Typhoon.

For her support abilities, Rebirth can be useful during the second phase of the fight. You should equip Revitalization or Healing Light for emergency healing. As for her weapon, I used a level 15Potierim.

Scielhas plenty of Dark damaging skills, and I used them with a level 15Chation. You could also use anAlgueronor aBlizzon.

Her best skills for this fight are Final Path, Dark Wave, and Marking card for extreme, high, and medium dark damage, respectively. You should also equip Grim Harvest to heal herself and the party.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: All Monoco Skill Locations

Let me tell you where you can find your enemies' feet. No, it’s not on that website.

Finally, forMonoco, you can use him for either Ice or Dark damage. I used a level 15Nusaro, but aSidaroorChromarowill also work for this fight.

As for his skills, Obscur Sword and Sapling Absorption are good for Dark damage. Alternatively, you could also go for Chevaliere Ice or Stalact Punches for Ice damage. Be sure to also equip Pelerin Heal to heal the party whenever needed.

How To Beat Chromatic Glissando In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

To beat Chromatic Glissando, you should attack it with your strongest Dark or Ice skills. You can make the fight easier by free aiming and shooting its tail to weaken it.

The weakened tail not only makes Chromatic Glissando perform an easier tail combo, but it also reduces its damage. However, breaking its tail does consume a lot of your AP, so if your character has a strong skill ready, you should use that and attack the tail with another party member.

If you are confident about your parries, you can skip the tail and focus on attacking the worm. This is also good for generating AP, as its normal tail combos are much longer.

If you didn’t manage to break its tail. Try dodging its tail swipes the first few times if you failed to parry before, to avoid dying.

Unlike the tail swipes, the head smash combo is much easier to parry, so always try parrying it. Though be careful, if you fail, it can break the Break meter of a party member. This is risky because the next time it does its tail combo, your stunned party member can die due to being unable to parry or dodge.

Try as much as possible to ensure that a character doesn’t die. Once an expeditioner dies, Chromatic Glissando gobbles them up. This restores its 62,367 HP.

You cannot revive a gobbled-up party member. But if you break the Chromatic Glissando, it spits them back, and now you may revive them.

At the start of the fight, Chromatic Glissando applies Powerful to itself and applies Rage when its health dips below 25%.After you deplete its health completely, it perishes and reveals the dancers, which starts the second phase of the fight.

This part of the fight is rather easier.Free aim and shoot at the dancers to eliminate them, as they can dodge when you attack them normally or use skills.

Aim at their head to deal extra damage.

Chromatic Glissando Rewards

For defeating the Chromatic Glissando, you get the following loot:

Choralim is the best Fire weapon for Lune. At level 33, its power is 3551 and has an S scaling for Defense and an A scaling for Agility.

Its passives include a 100% critical chance when you have 4 Stains simultaneously active at level 4. This weapon at level 10 gives you 20% increased damage for each consecutive turn that you go without taking any damage. It can stack up to 5 times. And at level 20, your critical hits apply burn.

If you don’t like the above passives, you can still use Braselim or Angerim for Fire with Lune.
