This DLC will give players a new section of the map to explore, full of new machines to fight and weapons and armor to help you fight them. The new section of the map isn’t directly connected to the original map, and you’ll need to start the first mission to unlock the new area.
Requirements & Where To Go
After purchasing the Burning Shores DLC, players will receive an in-game message thanking them for their purchase. Here you’ll see that the DLCtakes place after the final mission of the regular campaigncalled “Singularity.” After the final mission has been completed, or you load up the game for the first time with the DLC downloaded on a completed game save file, you’llreceive a message from Sylens informing you of a new threatand that you must meet in person.
Sylens will be located atTilda’s Mansion, in the bottom left corner of the map. As you have already been to this building before, odds are you’ll have a campsite nearby that you can fast-travel to to shorten the trip. After talking to Sylens on the back porch, he’ll explain your goal, andone of the dialogue options will trigger your journey to the Burning Shores.

What’s New & Can You Travel Back?
Sylens will inform Aloy of another Far Zenith that left his group before the attack at the end of the main story, escaping to the Burning Shores for some unknown reason. As The Burning Shores takes place after the main campaign, all the robots in this new section of the map will be very high in leveland difficult to take down. You’ll encounter a handful of new robots in the first few missions or two, with others being located around the island. Their new parts andnew rare items to collect can be traded for legendary gearpieces that make surviving Los Angeles much easier.
While the map of the Burning Shores is disconnected from the old map, you are able to simply fast travel back and forth. The map of the Burning Shores isactually not in its own section but to the south or the original map. After opening the map with the touchpad, scroll up to the north to find the original map, and fast travel to any campfires to travel between the two areas. You areunable to fast travel out of the Burning Shores during a mission, requiring you to complete it and travel before starting the next one.
