A common occurrence inHigh On Lifewhen you return home after a bounty mission is talking with your sister, Lizzie,as well as Gene. They are often arguing about something that you must help them resolve in order to keep the story progressing.

The first argument that you will have to help solve is whether to allow Gene to stay in your house or not. Here is what you may do to keep the peace.
Should You Make Gene Leave Or Stay?
When you return from defeating Krubis, or whichever second bounty you decide to go with, there will be ascene that will occur between you, Lizzie, and Gene.First, you will want to turn in your bounty to get your rewards, and then a dialogue between the three of you will begin.
Lizzie will tell you thatshe wants Gene to leave, to which he will reply that you and him had a deal to allow him to stay.They will both continue to fight, to which you will be prompted with two options to respond:
However, even though you have these two dialogue options to choose from,either one won’t have a major effect on the story,and you will still come out with the same outcome at the end of the argument. You will get different dialogue from the characters when they respond to you at first, with eitherLizzie showing anger towards you for taking Gene’s side,orGene telling you to find someone else to help you take down the G3 if you take Lizzie’s side.Either way, Gene will still stay in your house and Lizzie will agree to it for the time being.

Arguments That Have An Effect On The Story
The only argument that will have an effect on the story in High on Life is theargument between you, Lizzie, and Gene about whether or not Tweeg can stay.This occurs about halfway through the game, and you are given two options:
If you choose toallow Tweeg to move in, you will eventually find Lizzie kidnapping Tweegin order to try to fix their relationship. However, Tweeg will admit that he almost sold you outto the G3to which Lizzie will then decide to leave him.
If you choose the option thatTweeg can’t be trusted, you’ll find him kidnapping Lizzie.When you find them in his space RV, Tweeg will already be dead by Lizzie’s hands. This argument is theonly one that will give you a different outcome in the story,so you will want to choose wisely based on how you want Lizzie’s story to go.
