After spending a disappointing decade at Warner Bros. as a controversial Man of Steel, Henry Cavill seems to have finally found a solid footing with Amazon MGM. The streamer/motion picture studio now elevates Cavill to the prime of his life as the actor signs one deal after another in his chosen genre, highlighting just how creatively hungry he has been in hindsight.

However, with so many projects in the works, it looks like Cavill is biting off more than he can chew. With fans being more supportive than ever, especially after his unceremonious exile from two fan-favorite projects in the past, the British star cannot afford to take any more hits to his reputation within the industry. But at the rate he is going, the conclusion seems almost inevitable.
Henry Cavill Caught Between a Rock & a Hard Place
For a universally fan-favorite actor, no other actor has faced such constant controversy or been mired in the middle of an everlasting scandal asHenry Cavill. The DC actor showed incredible promise and wide-eyed optimism during his time as Superman and Geralt of Rivia, both representative of his childhood dreams come true and an outlet for his obsession with nerd culture.
However, the legacy that Henry Cavill would leave behind was not such a bright one. Despite his attention to detail, his love for the characters, and his continued efforts to bring them to a wider audience, Cavill failed to put up a righteous fight against the studio execs. In the end, neither Superman nor Geralt were powerful enough to make him stay on in DC or Netflix.

Now at Amazon, Cavill seems to be caught in an in-house battle between two of his personal favorite projects –Warhammer 40KandVoltron. Both serving as a sink-or-swim comeback for Cavill, his initial involvement with the live-action adaptation of the tabletop game has always been at the center of his future plans. However,Warhammer 40Ktaking centerstage also leaves the fate of the live-actionVoltronmovie hanging in the balance.

However, given Henry Cavill’s heavily packed schedule,Voltronmay end up having to wait in the queue behind four other projects currently in the works. After his collaboration with Guy Ritchie inThe Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, the actor and director have teamed up again to shoot the action thriller,In the Greyalongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza Gonzalez.

Moreover, Cavill is also set to star inJohn Wickdirector Chad Stahelski’s greatly anticipatedHighlanderreboot. Amazon has also been working with Cavill (lead star and executive producer) on theWarhammer 40Kseries, which the actor is intent on expanding into a Warhammer Cinematic Universe. Considering the flurry of projects,Voltronnow faces an uncertain future with a delayed timeline of release, at best.
