Arrowhead Game Studios is helping a charity out withHelldivers 2,and it starts today! The studio is partnering with the Save the Children Foundation to raise funds for the charity for a limited time, during which the studio will also offer items that players can bid on.

Arrowhead’s partnership with the Save the Children foundation is the second one by the studio. Last year, Arrowhead rolled out a “Save the Children” Major Order community event, where players could choose whether to liberate the planet Vernen Wells, saving the children trapped in a hospital, or liberate Marfark, which would grant the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines.
The Helldivers 2 community chose to save the children on Vernen Wells, saving the (virtual) lives of countless children over earning a new Stratagem. Moved by this, Arrowhead donated to the Save the Children charity in response to this surprising turnaround, since most assumed players would let the virtual civilians of Super Earth perish to gain a new lethal weapon against the enemy.
