For those who aren’t aware of whom Akala is, he’s an award-winning musician/rapper, who also happens to dabble around in the field of journalism. Hailing from Kentish Town, London, Akala has been actively taking part in the music industry since 2004.
To see Angelina and Akala hitting it off has taken some fans of both individuals by surprise. The rapper happens to be in a relationship with Chanelle Newman (viaDaily Mail). She has been involved in his life for quite some time helping him with music and with Hip-Hop Shakespeare, a theater production company.

The source that spoke to the Atlanta Black Star further elaborated on what they know aboutAngelina Jolieand Akala’s budding relationship. They stated that the two are merely really good friends, nothing more. The insider said,
He’s been such a refreshing influence in her life and someone she can really lean on and trust because he’s so discreet. He’s like a vault, and he’s very protective of her and her kids.

The sources also revealed that Akala usually has Newman around while he hangs out with Jolie as well. Despite the silence he carries regarding his relationship, it is apparent that Newman plays an important role in Akala’s life. She also co-founded a production company called Immovable Studios with the rapper.
On the other hand, despite filing for divorce in 2016, Jolie and Pitt are actively trying to finalize it. The two are yet to settle negotiations on child custody.
