Bradley Cooper admitted in public that he found it difficult to forge a connection with Lea De Seine, the daughter he shares with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk. Shockingly, the actor confessed to having doubts if he really loves his child.
Lea De Seine was born in 2017. Cooper and Shayk broke up in 2019 after four years of dating, though they worked and figured out a way to co-parent their daughter.

In a podcast interview with Dax Shepard’sArmchair Expertlast Monday, actorBradley Cooperrevealed he spent a couple of months wondering if he really has any fatherly affection for his newborn child.
“The first eight months — I don’t even know if I really love the kid. It’s dope. It’s cool. I’m watching this thing morph. That’s my experience. Fascinated by it. Loved taking care of it. But would I die if someone came in with a gun? And then all of a sudden, it’s like no question.”

The 49-year-old actor claimed he decided to make a change in his life in order to become the best parent for his daughter. He wanted Lea De Seine to have a more stable, peaceful upbringing as compared to Cooper’s early childhood plagued by alcoholism in his family.
“I’m a father [seeking to do] the least amount of damage I can do to my daughter. To have a child not grow up in that way. I want her to have, as much as she can, a foundation that’s like 25 feet thick, cement, that she can walk on this earth with. That’s the goal.”
TheMaestrostar later admitted he does not know what would have become of him and his career had he not become a father, a testament that he draws his courage from his daughter.
“I can just feel the safety that she feels. It’s so tangible; it’s palpable. That is so fulfilling. Honestly, I’m not sure I’d be alive if I wasn’t a dad. I don’t know what would have happened. I am not sure.”
Even though Cooper initially expressed having second thoughts about his love for his daughter, he managed to overcome that as the years went by. In fact, Lea De Seine wasspottedholding hands with her father at theMaestromovie premiere in Los Angeles.
