One character fromGhost of Tsushimais considered to be quite flawed. This constitutes some people hating on him while others appreciating his flawed nature since the game often questions the quality of man and often questions the decisions one makes along the way.

The game is a deeply emotional and human account of a man’s soul and his journey in life. In this journey, one makes a million mistakes and is often stuck in a rhythmic cycle of learning and unlearning constantly to become better.
Ghost of Tsushima Reiterates The Point: Flaws Are What Make A Man
A flawed character is often the one the audience empathizes with the most since they are the most relatable. In a world where perfection is perpetuated in every corner of life, a flawed person gives a man hope to feel more comfortable in their skin.
Jin’s former teacher, Sensei Ishikawa, is the perfect example of it. He is an extremely annoying and arrogant character who has gotten a lot of hate in the game due to his hypocritical nature and the choices he has made in his life, but his soul has not degenerated.

His beliefs and principles might be contradictory to his actions, but still, some fans believe that his heart is in the right place and that he has accepted his flawed nature and is now okay with it. He realizes his mistakes but cannot be forever burdened by them.
Ishikawa has indeed done some unforgivable things. He almost intentionally led us into a massacre at the lighthouse, and he is the one responsible for Tomoe’s fate.
