A rumor has resurfaced within theHalocommunity stating343 Industriesis downsizing and outsourcing future projects, but the studio’s community manager is seemingly pushing back. This news comes on the back of a fresh hiring within the developer, welcoming anew Cinematic Directorto the team to work on upcoming Halo installments.
Within the last few weeks, anew Lead Game Designerwas also hired by 343, who said he’d be “Giving the Covenant back their bomb”, and these joining team members have done nothing but restore positivity within the community regarding the future of the Halo franchise. Inevitably, the recent whispers concerning outsourcing have given the fandom cause for concern.

Halo Community Manager Responds To 343 Industries’ Outsourcing Rumor
Halo insider, Bathrobe Spartan, previously shared information last year on social media claiming 343 was going to be taken off “active development” of the Halo franchise, leaving the developer to oversee the work of third-party studios. Within the last few days, the insider has outlined further details relating to the studio’s alleged downsizing over the past year.
Within a day of this rumor spreading across the fandom, several insiders and content creators weighed in on the topic. A separate insider, @JezCorden, stated they had checked into the latest rumor and stated this was completely false. Another member of the Halo community said “Halo leakers don’t care about what’s factually correct. They only care about impressions and followers no matter how much damage they do to the community.”

Someone else who said their piece was 343’s community manager, John Junyszek, who replied to a thread of responses with, “It has been - and always will be - wild out there.”
Several onlookers were under the impression that Junyszek was implying the rumor was false, clearly calling out the unhinged state of the gaming community when it comes to leaks. One Halo content creator hit back at the manager’s response with “It’s wild because 343 has a history of long-standing radio silence. You might as well call the leakers the Lead Marketing Team at 343.”

Of course, that statement didn’t sit well with most fans, as a majority were under the assurance that 343 never makes announcements unless they have something to say. It’s certainly a rocky time for the Halo community, but fans are hoping work continues on upcoming projects without being tainted by the rumor mill.
