The nightmare of a track record of anime live actions doesn’t stop fans from picturing their favorite anime series in the live-action format.Attack on Titanfans, being no exception to this rule, often find themselves thinking about a potential ‘good’ live-action adaptation of the series. After the Titans, Levi Ackerman is one of the most challenging aspects that could make or break the series.

He’s not only integral to the narrative but also a fan-favorite character. This makes his casting a task of paramount importance. While the live-action movie is on an indefinite hold, there’s no harm in thinking about the perfect Levi. And we have an actor who we believe could perfectly portray the character for numerous reasons!
This DC star should be cast as Levi inAttack on Titan Live Action
Before the big revelation, it’s important to understand who Levi Ackerman is at his core. Levi is introduced as a stern and ruthless captain whose strength and skills as a fighter are unrivaled. While he comes off as a cold-hearted individual, his interactions with the other characters, especially Hange and Erwin, reveal his caring side. The fighting and an almost apathetic attitude are crucial aspects that need convincing portrayal by anyone who plays Levi.
The actor who checks these boxes with his past roles is Ryan Potter. He’s famously known for his roles as Mike Fukanaga inSupah Ninjas(2011) and Beast Boy in DC’sTitans(2018). Potter isn’t only an exceptional actor but also a long-time martial artist, which is a bonus as far as portraying Levi is concerned. While the next section of this article might convince you why Potter would be perfect as Levi, it’s important to remember that this is a fan casting for now.

Here’s why Ryan Potter would be perfect as Levi
Potter has showcased his versatility as an actor through a wide range of roles, from the soft and sweet demeanor as Jo to the chaotic Beast Boy. As Beast Boy inTitans, we see his skills with action sequences and he has the potential to pull off the swift movements of Levi. Once we picture Potter in character, the scene where he causes a ruckus in the cafe inTitansis reminiscent of Kennyand Levi’s altercation.
After Tom Holland as Naruto, Fans Want to See Jared Leto Become Eren Jaeger for a Possible Attack on Titan Live Action Adaptation
The intensity with which Beast Boy handles the sword or attacks his opponents is similar to Levi’s aggression against the Beast Titan. Although, Beast Boy exudes an air of mischief, Levi is almost too intense. As Jo inRunning for Grace, his appearance and his parted hair also resemble Levi inAttack on Titan.
While Potter as Levi is a fascinating idea on paper, it would be a huge responsibility for the actor, as Levi is a challenging character as well as a beloved one. One wrong step or too many emotions, and the fangirls won’t show any mercy to the actor. When one thinks about the wrath of Levi fangirls, the actor seems truly fortunate that this is only a fan casting.

Attack on Titanis available to stream on Crunchyroll.
