If there is one creature that even the Gods feared in Greek Mythology, then it has to be the Father of all Monsters, Typhon. Just when things couldn’t get any worse,Chronosteamed up with this beast to take down Melinoe and the Olympians inHades 2.
In mythology, he is described as a winged giant whose upper half of the body is humanoid, and the bottom half has two coiled up serpents for legs. Some stories claim him to have a hundred heads, others fifty, while some say he only had four heads.

He is the bringer of deadly storms and, with the help of Echidna, created several of the most dangerous monsters, like Orthrus, the two-headed dog, Lernaean Hydra, a multi-headed serpent that grows two more heads when you slice one off, and a fire-breathing Chimera.
Luckily, the Gods were able to take down this beast before and had him imprisoned in Tartarus under the weight of Mount Etna. So, with the help of the Gods on your side and this guide, here is how you can beat Typhon.

How To Prepare For The Typhon Fight
Since Typhon is the final enemy that you fight on the Surface, your primary goal will be to collect as many Centaur Hearts and Soul Tonics as you may. This means when you get to the boss, you will have plenty of HP and Magick for the fight.
Ideally, you should have around 300 HP and 250 Magick if possible; however, if you can go even higher, then all the better.

Next, for Keepsakes, you have two options. The first is Odysseus' Knuckle Bones. At epic rarity, it chips away 15% of the health of Typhon at the start of the fight, and you also take 10% less damage. This is a good option if you have Death Defiance to spare.
If not,the next best option is Schelemeus' Luckier Tooth. It works the same as Death Defiance, and at epic rarity, you wake up with 101 health for the fight.

You can also take Toula with you to get one extra Death Defiance, but she only restores 10 HP when you wake up. Although you canincrease your bondwith her to get back up with 40 HP when your bond with her is at epic rarity.
You can use any Boons that you like and end up finding during your run. But here are the main ones that I used in this fight:

As for Selene’s Gift of the Moon, I got Phase Shift, which makes everything else move 50% slower. Finally, for the weapon, I used Xinth (Black Coat).
How To Beat Typhon, Father Of All Monsters in Hades 2
The biggest challenge that you will face in this fight is that you don’t get to see Typhon’s health bar. This makes it difficult to gauge just how much damage you have dealt and how much is left to finish him off.
So,to defeat Typhon, you need to play very patiently and try your best to avoid getting hit by his attacks as much as possible.
Like most fights in this game,it is crucial that you learn the moves Typhon uses in his first phase. Similar toPrometheus, this fight starts relatively slowly. So, Typhon will not immediately barrage you with attacks, but if you do get hit by any of them, you can lose quite a lot of health.
But unlike Prometheus, this fight picks up pace quite quickly. As such, you will be dealing with multiple of his moves at the same time. The main phases that you need to look out for are the second and third phases.
Here, Typhon shoots eggs that create quite powerful enemies. It can be difficult to destroy all of them before they hatch. However, what you can do is destroy at least two or three of them. So, focus on getting rid of as many eggs as you can.
Finally,in his fourth phase, he becomes very aggressive by using multiple attacks at the same time while also getting a damage buff. There is no simple way to cheese this phase;you simply need to be familiar with his attacks from the previous phases and react accordingly to dodge them in time.
You will get plenty of chances to barrage him with your attacks, so use these moments to chip his health away. Since there is no health bar that you can check, just keep attacking him when it is safe, and you will eventually beat him.
Typhon, Father Of All Monsters - Phase 1
Description
Exploding Eyeball
Typhon launches his big eyeball toward Melinoe. This ball creates an AoE explosion where it lands and releases three smaller red balls that also create AoE explosions after hitting the ground.
Run away from the eyeball to avoid getting hit by it or coming into its AoE range.
Laser Beam
Typhon fires a laser beam from his serpentine tongue. He fires this from left to right.
You can stand directly below his face to avoid getting hit by it or dodge through the beam when it is about to hit you.
When you are too close to the Typhon and are only attacking his face. He will smash the ground with his jaw and tusks.
Look out for the red glow in his jaw and tusks. Get away from his face when they start getting brighter to avoid getting hit.
Swirling Eyes
Typhon unleashes six eyes from his body that bounce once after falling in random spots in the arena. Upon exploding, they turn into projectiles that rotate clockwise twice and fall on the ground.
Look out for the eyes and run into some empty area in the arena to avoid getting hit by them.
Summoning Gust of Wind
Typhon summons a gust of wind from either side of the screen. This can make it difficult for Melinoe to move freely.
Look for the wind animation and run toward the opposite direction to have an easier time dodging whatever incoming attack you face next.
Creating Whirlwinds
Typhon blows three whirlwinds from his mouth toward Melinoe. These move randomly around the area where they are spawned and can do chip damage if you accidentally touch them.
Dodge or run away from the Whirlwinds.
In this phase, the main moves you need to be wary of are the Exploding Eyeball and Swirling Eyes attacks. Both of these moves do AoE damage and can cover a lot of area. They can be especially tough to deal with when Typhon has summoned a gust of wind.
The next somewhat problematic move is his Whirlwind attacks. These are a bit easier to deal with, but can still be annoying, as these are quite sizable whirlwinds, and he creates three of these each time, so they can still chip away a lot of your health if you are not careful around them.
Typhon’s Laser Beam and Jaw Smash are the attacks you need to look out for, as these are the easiest to deal with and also give you plenty of room for barraging the beast with your attacks. Just try not to overdo your attacks, because if you fail to dodge, his attacks can still deal a lot of damage to you.
After you have dealt enough damage to Typhon, he will shroud himself in a black gust of wind, and when he is back, you will notice a scar on his right eye and a little blood on his face and tusks. This indicates the start of his second phase.
Typhon, Father Of All Monsters - Phase 2
Laying Enemy Mob Eggs
Typhon shoots a number of eggs in the arena after going into the second phase of the battle. The number of eggs it shoots decides how strong the enemy will be that you need to eliminate. Fewer eggs mean stronger enemies; meanwhile, more eggs will create weaker enemies.
Destroy all or as many eggs as you’re able to before they hatch into enemies.
This is the only new attack Typhon uses in this phase. When he shoots these eggs, you have around 10 seconds to destroy them. This will not be easy because while you are attacking the eggs, Typhon will attempt to hit you with his tail.
If you fail to destroy them on time, they hatch into elite enemies. If there are five eggs, you fight elite Polyps, which have relatively low HP. Four eggs spawn elite Lurkers with medium HP, and three eggs usually spawn elite Eidolons that have high HP.
These enemies have armor, so try looking for Daedalus’s hammer to have a chance of getting an upgrade that deals extra damage to armor with your strike or special attacks.
You have around 15 seconds to defeat them. If you don’t eliminate them on time, you also have to dodge Typhon’s attacks from the first phase while fighting them.
The good thing is, after the mobs are eliminated, you just need to fight him normally until you deal enough damage, after which Zeus will step in and strike Typhon with his thunderbolts.
After this attack, Typhon falls on the ground with his tongue out.You need to attack the Serpentine tongue while he is down.
Typhon, Father Of All Monsters - Phase 3
There are no new moves as such in Phase 3. However, you will notice a major difference in Typhon’s appearance. This time, he will have scars from the lightning bolts from Zeus.
For the rest of the phase, he will use all the attacks from his previous phases until you deal enough damage. Next, he will shroud himself in the storm again to spawn more eggs. There is a good chance the ones he shoots this time will be fewer and produce stronger enemies.
While you attack the eggs, this time Typhon will try to smash you flat with his fists. These attacks also create a lot of shockwaves after the initial hit, so you need to be mindful of them and prioritize dodging them over destroying an egg.
Once he is back, you will notice a crack in the eye on his forehead, which is an indication of the start of the final phase of the fight.
Typhon, Father Of All Monsters - Phase 4
Triple Exploding Eyeballs
Typhon launches three exploding eyeballs instead of one, which all do AoE explosions after hitting the ground. These are further split into three more mini-explosions each.
Pay attention to the arena for other attacks and dodge into an empty safe spot.
Double Laser Beam
Typhon fires the laser beam from his tongue twice. Once from left to right, then it swings back in the opposite direction.
More Swirling Eyes
Typhon shoots seven eyes instead of six. These have an AoE explosion after hitting the ground and then swirl clockwise for a few seconds before disappearing.
Spinning Tentacles
Typhon summons three tentacles from the ground that spin counterclockwise. These tentacles attack thrice: the first time away from Typhon, the second time in the middle lane, and the third time right below his jaw.
Dodge away from the Tentacles when it goes underground after the attack in the middle lane.
Most of the attacks in this phase are powered-up versions of the one he uses during the first phase. So,the only new move that you need to look out for is his spinning tentacles attack. This can be a bit to deal with as he uses this move while also having other attacks on the arena, like more swirling eyes.
His jaw-smashing attack is slightly faster, and lastly, the attacks in this phase deal more damage than before. As such, you need to be careful when fighting him and avoid being reckless, as a random hit can chip away a lot of your health.
Typhon, Father Of All Monsters Rewards
After you defeat Typhon, you get the following rewards:
You get Void Lens each time you beat Typhon, so going to the Surface and beating the monster each time is the only way to farm this reagent.
As for its uses, you can use them to upgrade the Arcana Cards: “Divinity”, which requires 1x Void Lens and 8x Moon Dust, and “Judgment”, which costs 2x Void Lens and 20x Moon Dust.
