If there’s only one thing you can say aboutGTA Online, that would be thatRockstarsurely knows how to keep its content fresh over the last 11 years. With a slew of ever-evolving online challenges, bounties, and activities, you’d be hard-pressed to find another online game where you can discover and participate in so much, whilst also getting in heap loads of trouble.

In a bid to keep up with this consistency, GTA Online recently welcomed the Bottom Dollar Bounties update that generates a Most Wanted mission daily, and to players' delight, many have already stumbled across the cleverly placedRed Dead Redemption 2easter egg that will be nostalgic for anyone who has experienced the Wild West tale.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Fans Believe They’ve Found A New Reference In Latest GTA Online Update

GTA Online’s Bottom Dollar Bounties update appears to include a nod to Grand Theft Auto 6’s trailer.

Posted on Twitter/X by user@videotechuk_(AKA Ben), who is a hub of knowledge for all Rockstar Games news and opinions, a clip can be seen where Arthur from Red Dead Redemption 2 is knocked out with the butt of a gun while overseeing a meeting on the mountain between Dutch Van Der Linde and Colm O'‘Driscoll and then wakes up in a basement.

This particular part of the RDR2 storyline for our good old cowboy is called Blessed are the Peacemakers and if you’ve been hankering for a little nostalgia, the very same story reference can be found in GTA Online’s newest bounty mission.

The second half of the clip shared by Ben shows a GTA Online player searching for Leroy O’Neil at a motel and, just like Arthur, gets a gun butt to the head, and then wakes up half-naked in a basement with that haze effect Rockstar loves to use in its games. Although this has yet to be confirmed by developers, it’s pretty obvious that they left a little easter egg in there for Arthur fans who have missed the lovable rogue.

Even though Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out since October 2018, a recent Steam sale on the game saw the epic Western tale slide into the platform’stop 10thanks to a 67% price reduction. It’s amazing to see players still want to jump into one of the best, if not the best, Rockstar games ever made. It’s just a pity that RDR2’s online mode doesn’t get the same amount of love - maybe one day?
