Granblue Fantasy, one of the most popular mobile RPG, is holding soon a crossover collab event withFFXI, predecessor toFinal Fantasy XIV.

Granblue Fantasyheld its 8th anniversary stream on July 06, 2025, where several announcements have been made. Most of the fans and regular players of the game watched the live stream themselves, but one particularly huge announcement happened, anFF11collab event is coming soon.

Granblue Fantasy and FFXI collab event announced

The collab crossover inGranblue Fantasyis happening to celebrate the 20th anniversary ofFinal Fantasy XI. The MMORPG will celebrate this iconic milestone on July 17, 2025.

Event release date estimate and teaser trailer

Several Granblue Fantasy voice actors are huge Final Fantasy XI players

Some of the seiyuu at the event, especially Emiri Kato (Sierokarte, Halluel & Malluel among other characters) and Asami Imai (Vira) were overjoyed at the announcement seeing they’re hugeFF11fans. You can see their reaction in the timestamp linked above, right after the teaser.

Emiri Kato regularly streamsFF11on her YouTube channel with new characters as well, and sometimes friends like Asami Imai join her.

Another popular seiyuu inGranblue Fantasy, Yuichi Nakamura (Romeo, Tsubasa), is a hugeFF11player, so the collab is very iconic for bothGranblueand seiyuu fans. Yuichi Nakamura’s Twitter handle is literally@NakamuraFF11, and he’ll definitely react to the news soon seeing he wasn’t on the 8th anniversary live stream.

Cygames already mentioned several times that more news on the console game will be coming some time after this 8th anniversary stream. For now we can only wait and see.
