Along with the new story trailer for God of War: Ragnarok, a new limited edition PlayStation 5 controller was also revealed. Themed around Santa Monica’s upcoming title, the new controller is a two-tone, cool blue on icy white design which was inspired by the Norse world of Midgard. The controller is even embellished with a bear and wolf insignia on the touchpad, which represents both Kratos and Atreus.
According to Sony’s official blog post for the new controller, pre-orders will begin on September 27 ready for its full release on November 9, alongside God of War: Ragnarok. An exact price point for the new controller wasn’t shared by Sony, but as this is the first PlayStation 5 controller themed around a game, it’s likely to be a little on the pricey side. The September 13th State of Play had plenty in store for PlayStation fans, and it wasn’t all just about God of War. Fans also received the very first look at the upcoming PlayStation exclusive quest for Hogwarts Legacy, The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop. “This mysterious quest is built into the core game and can be discovered by any witch or wizard playing on PlayStation”.
