While it is already in good hands, Sony Santa Monica Studios andGod of War: Ragnarokhave just been handed a big boost, in the form of a very experienced sound designer.

In his tweet, he said:
“Honored to help contribute to PlayStationâs tradition of pushing the industry forward with iconic-sounding experiences… starting with the next God of War title!”
Jiminez’s other work includesThe Witness,Destiny 2andOri and the Blind Forestso he undoubtedly brings a raft of talent to what is already one of video games' most prestigious studios.
This isn’t the only hire Santa Monica Studios has made recently either. Back in November, it was confirmed that internet personality/voice actor/writerAlanah Pearce was also joining the studio.
While the game is scheduled to receive a PS5 release at some point this year, it’s stillunclear whetherGod of War: Ragnarokwill be releasing on the PS4. When questioned on it last year, PlayStation head Jim Ryan said âSorry. Iâve got nothing to say about that today,â andrecent rumours on the topic appear to be just that.
