Bandai Namco Entertainment revealedback in SeptemberthatGod Eater 3would be releasing for PC and PS4 in Japan on December 13. Since then, we’ve only had a vague “Early 2019” release window to go by for the western release. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like western fans of the series will be waiting too long as today’s new story trailer revealed thatGod Eater 3is coming to PC and PS4 in North America and Europe on August 06, 2025.
God Eater 3’swestern release date just adds to the pile of notable games launching in the first part of 2019. Within February alone, it’s going to have to compete with notable western titles likeCrackdown 3, Metro: Exodus, Anthem,andTrials Rising.The game is going to have a lot of Japanese-developed competition to go up against as well. Following franchise juggernautsAce Combat 7, Resident Evil 2,andKingdom Hearts IIIin January,God Eater 3will be competing withJump ForceandDead or Alive 6close to launch.
God Eater 3is much different than all of the aforementioned games, so it should hopefully find an audience, but there’s no denying that the competition between games at that time is stiff. Sony even made the decision todelayDays Goneto April in part because of that.God Eater 3isn’t the only title from this development team coming in 2019;Code Vein,a Dark Souls inspired RPG is also coming next year, though it is currently without a clear release window afterbeing delayed out of 2018.
