Without a doubt, one of the most exciting things about the yearlyPokemon GO Festis the array of brand new Shiny Pokemon and the variety of spawns.
This year we’re getting the opportunity to catch a couple of new Regional Pokemon - Chatot and Throh/Sawk, as well as a bunch of confirmed new Shinies.
Previously, with the two Fighting-types each only being available in half the world, the question has arisen as to whether or not they can be shiny atGO Fest.
So, here is whether Throh and Sawk can be Shiny and how you can nab yourself the Regional Pokemon during this year’s event.
Can Throh and Sawk Be Shiny at Pokemon GO Fest 2021?
Like Durant and Heatmor last year, Throh and Sawk will both have their Shiny Forms released intoPokemon GOfor the first time.
As you can see from the image below, unfortunately, neither of their shiny forms are exciting in the slightest and are instead, just a slightly different shade of their regular colours.
However, a shiny is a shiny so you’ll hear no complaints from me if I encounter one!
How To Catch Them At GO Fest
Niantichas confirmedthat Throh and Sawk will only be available to paying GO Fest customers, so although those playing for free will get some benefits, this duo won’t be part of it.
For those who are paying, the pair are showing up across the Desert Mountain Hour (Throh) and the Ocean Beach Hour (Sawk). They will only be attracted to Incense though, so be sure you have one going.
As for their Shiny Forms, as always, there’s no guarantee, however, GO Fest always ramps the shiny odds up massively so there will be no better time.
Other than that, it’s just a case of Shiny checking everyone you see and hoping for the best!
