While Marvel Studios is still cracking how to go aboutSpider-Man 4, a famous insider has revealed that the studio is looking to cast Steven Yeun as the movie’s villain.The Walking Deadactor is reportedly in the running to play Mister Negative.

The name probably does not ring a bell to many fans as he is a lesser-known antagonist compared to the likes of Vulture, Green Goblin, or Mysterio. But with the onset of a new project, it’s definitely time to explore other villains from theSpider-Manfranchise.

In an exclusive post fromGiant Freakin Robot, the outlet claimed their trusted source learned that “Sony and Marvel are eyeing Steven Yeun for the role of Mister Negative in Spider-Man-4.” While the character has not yet appeared in movies, he has debuted on the small screen and in video game series.
Our source confirmed that both Marvel boss Kevin Feige and the team at Sony think that Steven Yeun of The Walking Dead fame would be a great fit for the role.

IfSteven Yeunwould accept the role, it would be a big shoe to fill for him. The actor has shockingly dropped out of Marvel’sThunderboltsrevealing the SAG-AFTRA strike had a huge impact on his decision. The actor mentioned that “time passing and things shifting” sort of pulled him out from wanting to dive into the project.
Still, he declared viaVarietythat he wanted to do a Marvel film. “I have some ideas, but I heard if you put it out there, you’ll never get it, so I’ll keep it close to my chest,” he quipped. When asked what Marvel movie he would like to tackle in the future, he refused to name any given how many people were disappointed with his departure.
