He will be added through a new Gacha banner coming on February 3, along with the Version 1.3 update ofGenshin Impact,All That Glitters. The Xiao Story Teaser trailer can be found down below.Thousands of years before the journey ofGenshin Impact’s protagonist, Xiao and four other individuals were Yaksha, special Adeptus gathered by the Geo Archon Morax, also known as Rex Lapis. The Yakshas were tasked with defeating the evil born from the vengeful emotions of the gods slain before The Seven system was established. Where seven gods became the seven Archon, each ruling on one of the regions of Teyvat, the world ofGenshin Impact. While The Seven changed over thousands of years, Rex Lapis was one of the original members of The Seven together with Anemo Archon Barbatos. Until the events depicted in-game in the Liyue main story chapter.
The Xiao Story Teaser explained how after thousands of years of fighting, the Yakshas either all went mad or turned against each other. Three of them passed away, and another one disappeared completely. In the current era ofGenshin Impact, only Xiao remains.
