While every game on this list doesn’t play exactly like Left 4 Dead, you can be optimistic that it’ll bring you the same joy that you have when going against endless waves of the undead.

There are also a variety of special infected that can really mess up a team if they get the jump on you. The game itself is chaotic as your screen is constantly filled with the undead which creates tense and anxiety-filled moments. While you may be able to solo a level in Left 4 Dead, trying to do the same hear will put you in the grave early. Teamwork is needed to succeed here.

If you really think about it,Deep Rock Galacticis what you would get if you took Left 4 Dead and gave it a space theme. This title is a horde shooter as you play as dwarves fighting for their lives as you take on different types of monsters.
A neat feature of Deep Rock Galactic is that a class system adds variety to the gameplay, allowing you to create a diverse team. As you excavate different cave systems, everything in the game is destructible, so how you reach the objective is up to you.

Instead of trying to complete a level in order to progress through a level,State Of Decay 2has you using your quick wits, resilience, and strategy to survive the zombie apocalypse. While there won’t always be zombies coming at you here, there are moments when you’ll find your back against the wall when they do surround you.
There’s something exciting about creating a community during the end of days and going out scavenging that makes State of Decay 2 so fun. you may play as anybody you come across, and the title has a 4-player co-op function, so you don’t have to worry about doing it alone.
7Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Picture Left 4 Dead, but this time make it fantasy themed. If you’ve done so, you probably just imaginedWarhammer: Vermintide 2. You and 4 other people can get together and take down hoards of Skaven together as you try to fight your way through the hellish fantasy world.
The most significant difference between Left 4 Dead and Vermintide 2 is the content and customization options. There’s so much variety that you’ll rarely find yourself getting bored, especially if you decide to play with others. Regardless of what type of weapon or magical item you want to use to take down your foes, nothing but good fun is to be had here.
6Strange Brigade
Strange Brigadeis different from the other games on this list as it feels like it plays at a slower pace than the rest of the titles on this list, but that isn’t a bad thing. In Strange Brigade, you’ll go up against enemies in Egypt as you solve puzzles and go against an undead Egyptian army.
Even though you won’t have your screen covered in enemies like in Left 4 Dead, it’s nice to take things at a slow pace. It gives you time to think and strategize with your teammates, especially during the puzzle portions of the game.
Everybody remembersDead Islandright? Considering that the second mainline installment is releasing over the horizon, if you haven’t played the original, you should get right on it. Dead Island has you fighting on, well… an island that’s inhabited by the living undead. Trying to survive as you try to help other survivors is no easy task.
From the combat system, the skill tree, and the number of weapons at your disposal, it’s rare to find yourself bored when playing. you’re able to also play with three other people if you want to spice up your gameplay experience a little bit more.

In terms of gameplay, things get better as the series progress, however, all of them are able to retain an enjoyment factor.
Hacking and slashing hordes of zombies have never been better as you can create a variety of unique weapons to inflict punishment on the undead. The story itself in all the titles will have your full attention as well. While it can be disappointing to only bring one other friend with you, both of you can still goof around as much as your hearts desire.
3Dying Light 2
There’s something about doing Parkour from different rooftops and throughout the city streets thatDying Light 2captures perfectly. The combat also adds to the excitement factor as it has been greatly improved since the release of the first game. The progression tree also feels very rewarding as you unlock new moves and ways to create weapons.

You’ll never feel tired or find things repetitive as Dying Light 2 finds a way to keep you engaged with everything going on, making you not want to put the controller down. There’s also co-op in the game which is always a nice touch on any game you play.
2Back 4 Blood
Back 4 Bloodis one of the games on this list that resembles Left 4 Dead the most and that’s probably due to the fact that some of the lovely people that were on the Left 4 Dead team helped with this title. While it plays similarly to the hit zombie-killing game, there’s enough here to differentiate itself from it.
Unlike Left 4 Dead, there’s a card and perk system that can give you different buffs during fights or some that have a give-and-take effect that can make things harder for you and your team. It’s a unique take compared to the usual zombie-killing genre, so you should try it out and see if it’s for you.
1Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies Series
As odd as it may be to see it on the list, theCall of Duty: Black Ops Zombiesseries has been notorious for having one of the most engaging and exciting zombie modes. Not only do things get harder after each round, but the perk system along with being able to upgrade your weapons just makes everything more exciting than it already is.
