According to prominentFortniteleakers,Epic Gamesis gearing up to release its brand-new v30.40 update on August 6th, which is coincidentally the same day thatFive Nights at Freddy’screator ScottGames has teased a mysterious collaboration announcement.
Earlier this week, the official Five Nights at Freddy’s X (formerly Twitter) account revealed the franchises' full line-up for the month of August. This included two new spin-off series known as myPOPGOES and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into The Pit, a new interactive novel, and much more. But it was the date of August 6th that caught the attention of fans, as ScottGames confirmed that a new collaboration announcement would be made on this date.
Fortnite Leak Suggests You Will Soon Be Able To Purchase Skins On The Go
A prominent Fortnite leaker has revealed that Epic Games may soon allow players to access the item shop from a web browser.
According to HYPEX, who is a prominent leaker within the Fortnite community, Epic Games has a brand-new update scheduled to go live on the same date, August 6th. And with Fortnite often collaborating with a plethora of other video games, movies, artists, and more, fans are speculating that the two games having an update and announcement on the same day is more than just a coincidence.
Five Nights at Freddy’s first rose to fame in 2014 and has since gone on to spawn multiple sequels, spin-offs, and even a movie series. And with Fortnite slowly beginning to exhaust all of its collaborations, a Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover seems likely.
The hit Battle Royale’s most recent collaboration was with rock and roll legends, Metallica, who made their debut in Fortnite with the v30.10 update earlier this month. Brand-new Metallica skins, a new point of interest on the Battle Royale island, and plenty of new content for Fortnite’s Guitar Hero-esque mode, Fortnite Festival, were included in the update.
While Five Nights at Freddy’s doesn’t collaborate with other video games and movies as often as Fortnite does, a new Roblox game based on the franchise was accidentally revealed late last year. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survival Crew is a survival experience within Roblox that briefly appeared on the platform in December before being quickly removed.
According to Five Nights at Freddy’s creatorScott Cawthon, the game was “still in its infancy,” and was released because of a “huge misunderstanding.”
Whether or not Fortnite’s potential collaboration with Five Nights at Freddy’s will be purely inside of Fortnite is yet to be known.
