Since the start of Chapter 5, Weapon Mods have played a big role in enhancing every weapon you carry within your loadout. Weapons can be customized via a Mod Bench, which could be found in the Vaults for Chapter 5 Season 1. For Season 2, however, you canuse a Mod Bench inside a Weapons Bunker- which functions slightly differently from the Vaults you may be used to.
What Are Weapon Bunkers?
Weapon Bunkers are a brand-new feature that first debuted with the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. Similar to Vaults present in previous seasons, Weapon Bunkers are locked areascontaining Chests,stacks of Gold Bars,andWeapon Mod Benches. Weapon Bunkers are a superb way to consistently farm Gold Bars, gather high-tier loot, and apply the best Weapon Mods onto your weapons.
Unlike the Vaults of the previous season, Weapon Bunkers cannot be unlocked via Keycards or Medallions. Instead, a select fewWeapon Bunkers will open following the third Storm Collapse. This event is signaled by a series of alarms that go off around each bunker, making it rather easy to anticipate.
