Remedy Connected Universe With Alan Wake, Control Is “Just Getting Started”
Remedy says it’s too early to talk about endgame stuff regarding Alan Wake and Control’s shared universe.
FBC: Fibreak Closed Technical Alpha Takes Place This Weekend
According to Remedy, “Due to the limited capacity of this Closed Technical Test, a sign-up does not guarantee access. If you’re selected, you will receive a key for the platform of your choice (Steam, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S) at that time, pending availability.”
If you’re unfamiliar with FBC: Firebreak, it’s a three-player co-op first-person shooter that’s set in the world of Control, which Remedy describes as: “FBC: Firebreak is a cooperative first-person shooter set within a mysterious federal agency under assault by otherworldly forces. As a years-long siege on the agency’s headquarters reaches its boiling point, only Firebreak— the Bureau’s most versatile unit—has the gear and the guts to plunge into the building’s strangest crises, restore order, contain the chaos, and fight to reclaim control.”

Every Remedy Entertainment Game, Ranked
The Finnish company has become one of the best modern developers, and in this list we’ll see why.
While Remedy is know for narrative-driven single-player games such as Alan Wake and Control, we’re glad to see the studio stretching its legs a bit. Based on what’s been shown so far, Remedy seeks to eschew live-service tropes with FBC: Firebreak, which a lot of people should be happy with.

If you’re looking for the next single-player Remedy game, Control 2 has already been announced, though it hasn’t been revealed yet, which suggests we’re quite far off from seeing it get released. As for Alan Wake, the logical assumption is we’ll be seeing Alan Wake 3 at some point, though that too, is years away from being released, and might not even see the light of day on current-gen consoles. The good news here is, Remedy has said earlier this year that Alan Wake 2has started accruing royalties, which means the game is officially profitable.
FBC: Firebreak will release on June 17 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, continuing Remedy’s hot stream of critically acclaimed games.
