Intelligent System also revealed a few online features that players can use to participate in “Encounter Battles”, consult a ranking of the Units, and find places where friendly and enemy Units fell in battle. First off, if players connect to the Internet, “Spirits of the Fallen” will appear on the map during battles. They can be found in places where friendly (yellow lights) and enemy (purple lights) Units were defeated in battle. Players' Units will receive stat bonuses, items, EXP, and other rewards if they send a Unit to one of those locations.
If players are connected to the internet, they can consult a ranking of the Units and Emblems that are most used by other players via a given map. This feature could help players who are not sure which Unit to send into battle. Lastly, if players head to the places they have already visited before, which can be viewable on the world map, enemy soldiers and corrupted ones will occasionally spawn. Afterwards, they can participate in Encounter Battles and Training to earn EXP like in normal battles.
Fire Emblem Engage is drawing near to its release, as the latest entry in the beloved RPG series will be made available on Nintendo Switch on January 20th.
