Does Jill Die?
Final Fantasy 16 has a much darker tone, with many major characters meeting their end, but don’t worry, Jill is one of the few who are spared.Jill does survive the events of the main story, and while her life after the events of the game is up in the air, she is able to stand with Clive until the end of his journey.Clive’s fateis a bit more clear by theend of the story, butJill’s has the possibility to be explored in DLC or simply be left up to the fan’s guesses.

At the end of the game, Jill is seen at the hideout, seeing the effects of the final battle against Ultima. After seeing the star she had been wishing on flicker out, thelast scene shows Jill crying alongside Torgal. There is no hint of her in the post-credits scene of the game, butnothing is shown that would lead us to believe she didn’t end up living the rest of her life peacefullyin the saved world Clive created.
How Does Clive Get Shiva
Shiva is Jill’s Eikon, and while Clive is able to take an Eikon without killing the dominant, every dominant up until this point has been killed or had their Eikon taken after a difficult battle between the dominants. Cliveultimately breaks this trend with Jill, taking her Eikon without killing or even hurting herafter she offers Shiva to him.
Jill offers up her Eikon to Clive on the beaches of Ash, knowing thathe’ll need Shiva’s power to one-day face Ultima. After giving up Shiva, she can still use ice magic, but not nearly as much, whichsaves her from the bearer’s cursethat would have eventually killed her. This also marks the point in the game where Jill is no longer aprominent party member, with her ice magic being passed on to Torgal and her being left at the hideout more often than not.
