Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) patch 6.2 goes live on August 23, but the game servers will go down for maintenance from a day earlier in the US as the developers need to add new content to all worlds.

According to an official blog post byThe Lodestone, FFXIV maintenance will begin on August 22 at 7 pm PT/10 pm ET in the US. This is equivalent to 2 am UTC/3 am BST/4 am CEST on August 23 in Europe, or 12 pm AEST on August 23 in Australia.

The maintenance is supposed to last for 8 hours, which means you can expect the servers to come back online on August 23 at 3 am PT/6 am ET/10 am UTC/11 am BST/12 pm CEST/8 pm AEST. Keep in mind that the maintenance might be extended if anything unexpected happens.

During the downtime, you will have no access to the game. Also, when the servers come back online, you might experience long queues for joining to the game as many players will attempt to check out the new content as soon as possible.

With Patch 6.2, players will receive access to a number of new main story and side story quests, which will only be available for those who own the Endwalker expansion. You will start your new journey in the game by visiting Radz-at-Han to begin the In Search of Azdaja quest. The exact location is X: 4.4 and Y:9.8.

Moreover, you can expect the addition of the Chronicles of the New Era quests to the game, which will be accessible in Labyrinthos. Also, Sharlayan will also be updated with a few side-story quests.

In addition to quests, you can expect the arrival of new housing and furnishing items, the island sanctuary, new hairstyles, new emotes, and some important adjustments to the Battle System.

Also, the new patch will adjust items in the game to keep things balanced for players. A few adjustments will also be made in the PvP gameplay.

We will share the full patch notes of update 6.2 in a separate article as soon as the patch goes live.
