Following the report that Miura Kentaro, the creator ofBerserk,passed away, tribute from several artists and mangaka have been shared - most notably on Twitter, with messages fromFairy Tail’s author Hiro Mashima andHajime no Ippo’s author Jyoji Morikawa among others. We translated them below.
Hiro Mashima’s tribute to Kentaro Miura
Hiro Mashima:“Berserk is like an extension of my youth. Whenever a new volume releases, I go buy it on the release date, excited like a kid. I’m incredibly sad and shocked. I pray Miura sensei will rest in peace.”

Hajime no Ippocreator Jyoji Morikawa - Tribute toBerserkauthor Kentaro Miura
