Players continue to complain about the latest major expansion ofHelldivers 2, accusing it of overly nerfing the weapons. This mostly applies to all fire-related weapons, which were among the most used before.

The situation has heated up to the point that even the CEO of the studio, Shams Jorjani, said on the official Discord server that he prefers the previous version of these weapons. Naturally, when making this statement, he made it very clear that it was his personal opinion and not that of the studio.

The situation has escalated to such an extent that Shams Jorjani, the studio’s CEO, responded on the official Discord server, expressing his preference for the previous patch pertaining to these weapons.
Of course, many fans took screenshots and posted them on platforms like Reddit to prove that the studio should revert this adjustment to these specific weapons. This was quite ironic considering that the studio later released a new Warbond entirely focused on fire-based weapons.

Many players took Jorjani’s statement about this issue very seriously and are waiting for Johan Pilestedt, another of the company’s visible faces, to speak on the matter as well as to hear his opinion.
If things continue like this, the studio will likely roll back this newHelldivers 2update concerning fire weapons. With the new missions and target planets, the nerf to these weapons makes things quite difficult for players.

The studio, which could easily revert the changes with a new patch to make these weapons useful again, has already left fans frustrated.

Almost 10 days have passed since the official release of this update, and in addition to the introduction of new mission types and heightened difficulty, the weapon adjustments have rendered several missions excessively challenging.
For now, Arrowhead Game Studios has not said anything official on their social media regarding this adjustment and the problems it’s causing players.
