Although she wanted to work with Robert Downey Jr., the actress added that she does not like superhero movies. But the MCU did not stop there and also went on to ask her for the role of Peggy Carter inCaptain America: The First Avenger.She also cited scheduling conflicts as the reason for denying that role.
Following this, rumors also stated that the actress was allegedly offered the roles of Sue Storm and Captain Marvel. Emily Blunt spoke otherwise and remarked that they were nothing more than rumors.

The rumor mill stated that names like Jodie Comer and Vanessa Kirby were considered by Kevin Feige’s Fortress for the role. As soon as the rumors started gaining heat, Comer stated (viaScreenRant) that she did not know anything. However, she did not outright deny the statement as well and kept the doors open for entering the MCU.
