After running a few expeditions inElden Ring Nightreignwith your friends, or with a bunch of uncoordinated randoms like me, you might find yourself interested in knowing a little bit aboutthe backstory of the Nightfarersthat you play as.
On the other hand, you may not care about their stories, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not worth completing their remembrances through the Journal. By completing these little quests, you’re able to obtain some great rewards, likecharacter-specific relics that boost the abilities of your Nightfarers.

In addition, these missions aren’t too difficult to complete for the most part. They’ll just force you to have to go a little out of the way of your normal route while completing your expedition.
It may be worthwhile to complete these quests in solo mode if you’re able to’t muster up a coordinated team.
Chapter 3 - The First Outing
Chapter 3 of the Wylder Journal is where you’ll find your firstexpedition-specific mission.Memory fragments can be tricky to acquire, seeing asthey aren’t exactly physical itemsyou can find.
However, if you’re hunting them down, try defeating Field Bosses, Raids, and of course, Nightlords. While you always have a chance to receive a new fragment from defeating a Nightlord, you are more likely to receive one if you defeat aNightlord you haven’t defeated before.
I received a memory fragment simply by reaching the Nightlord, and not by actually killing it, so completing the expedition isn’t essential. What is clear, though, is thatyou need to complete previous remembrance chapters before you start receiving new ones. You can’t earn one character’s fragments all in one go. So make sure you complete the remembrances as soon as you earn them so you don’t waste the opportunity to receive more!
Eventually, simply by playing that specific Nightfarer a lot, you’ll obtain the fragments you need. Many of these quests require you to defeat a variety of bosses, in which case, it’s worth trying to get throughas many Nightlords as possibleso you don’t have as much trouble in the future.

Here are the steps you need to follow in order to complete theWylder’s Rememberance Quest:
Remember, you don’t need to actually defeat the Nightlord once you have the quest-specific item.You just need to win or die. Don’t just outright quit the match, though. You’ll need to go through the process again in that case.
After completing this remembrance, you will gain access to a new relic, the Slate Whetstone, which can be equipped to unlock a new attack after the Wylder’s Clawshot ability.This can only be done while using a Greatsword, so be conscious of your weapon choices.
The whetstone is one of the best relics you can use with the Wylder, and will help take you through the rest of the game—especially if you’re facing a boss that is weak to fire damage.
Chapter 5 - The Scavenger Hunt
This chapter is slightly different in that it doesn’t actually require you to go on an expedition.It all takes place in the Roundtable Hold.If you don’t have the memory fragments, simply attempt some more expeditions until you unlock them.
you may open the map while in the Roundtable Hold just like when you’re on an expedition. You can also use fast travel options to zip around if you’re struggling to find a location, or just can’t be bothered going on foot.
Chapter 7 - The Raid On Noklateo
This chapter can be a bit tricky for people to unlock, seeing as though there are conflicting thoughts on the matter.
What istotallynecessary is that you need to have defeated at least 4 of the total Nightlords for this fragment to start. Whether you need to complete these with the Wylder specifically is unclear, but I did just that, and it unlocked fine for me.
Before you even begin this remembrance, verify you have the “Shifting Earth Event: Noklateo”active. You’re going to need to explore this Ruined City in order to find the Quest item.
If you choose to continue through Noklateo, you will have to faceThe Natural Born of the Void.Anyone who remembers Astel and his twin from Elden Ring will be well-equipped here. Once you’ve put that Universal Titan to rest, you can continue forth to receive theFavor of Noklateo, which will give you a free revive and a power boost, to help you finish the expedition.
You will gain a remembrance outfit and the option to use theSilver Tear as a relic. The tear, when equipped, will increase your ultimate Art Gauge while causing it to be filled more rapidly as you use your ability. In addition, you’ll also get a +3 bonus to your arcane stat. It’s a very useful relic,definitely worth using on the Wylder for any future expeditions.
Chapter 9 - The Final Battle
This final chapter requires you to have access to the final boss of the game, theNight Aspect. Before you embark on this journey,make sure you have the Silver Tear equippedvia the relic altar. If you do not, you will fail the chapter, and you won’t get the final cutscene, even if youbeat Heolstor.

Dethrone the final lord and claim back the night.
If this is your first time beating the Night Aspect, you will gain theNight of the LordRelic, theSacred Erdtree Grailto switch your relics up, and in addition, some more costumes to purchase. That Artorias skin is ridiculously cool!
Additionally, you will be rewarded with the Wylder’s Earring Relic. This will help the Wylder recover his stamina upon every successful attack and allow you to spread fire across an area when you use your Ultimate art. If you’re maining Wylder, this is a no-brainer.
