Elden Ring 2would be super fun if it were ever to materialize. There has nothing been shared by Hidetaka Miyazaki at the moment about Elden Ring’s future, but we are not bound by reality anyway and can definitely let our imaginations run wild.
For the next part of it, Miyazaki should explore the greatest of the 7 endings, which has immense scope, establishing space for sequels to flourish in the lands between and beyond.
This Is The Ending Elden Ring 2 Should Build Upon
There are many ways to endElden Ring; you may choose one out of the seven endings with different outcomes based on the decisions that you make along the way. But not all the endings leave scope for a good sequel, apart from a few. Among those few Age of Stars is a people’s favourite.
After defeating the Elden Beast in this ending, the Tarnished summons Ranni the Witch in front of Queen Marika’s remains instead of mending the Elden Ring and becoming the Elden Lord. Marika is supplanted by Ranni as the Empyrean goddess, who then takes the Tarnished as her Elden Lord. This ending takes the journey up a notch and enables players to see beyond The Lands Between them and stand amongst the stars as one.
She marks the end of the Golden Order to pave the way for establishing an order of her own and in the process, she removes the influence of the greater will from The Lands Between. The Tarnished and Ranni leave The Lands Between and take her order with them on a journey amongst the stars meant to last a thousand years. The Lands Between is left desolate without a lord for the first time in an age.

This is super interesting to build a sequel upon. The sequel will anyway be set thousands of years apart from the first game since most endings bring about an end to the Order to establish things anew. However, in the age of stars, there is an immense scope to explore the lore beyond the boundaries of The Lands Between.
Only If Elden Ring: Age of Stars Could Ever Become A Reality
Age of Starsleaves a lot of scope for imagination. It is the first time players get to experience something that is beyond The Land’s Between, making them feel like a part of something bigger than themselves. The similar effect the understanding of the cosmos has on a person.

A journey that will last a thousand years among the stars will be full of surprises, and while sticking to the lore of the game, there are so many things that can be explored through this journey.
