Dynasty Warriors has many, many children. Some are more… let’s say' well-behaved' than others.
This is where Pyroxene comes in, as you need it to craftgems. But you will need a lot more of it if you want to make these gems powerful. There are five different gems in the game, each with its own unique effects.
So, here are the best ways to farm Pyroxene in Dynasty Warriors Origins and the effective ways to use them to get the gems you are looking for.
How To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors Origins
you may find nodes of Pyroxene randomly spawn in the overworld. These are spiky rocks that are orangish-red in color. Simply walk up to one and press “A” or left-click or take it.
Letters are another way to obtain Pyroxene. However, these aren’t as reliable as taking them from the overworld, but occasionally, you may find some of them as rewards from letters.
Look forOld Coinsand collect them. During Chapter 2, you meet the NPC Sima Hui and unlock the Shui Jing Retreat Waypoint. Here, you can talk to him to check your Old Coin collection and after collecting a certain amount, you will be rewarded with Pyroxene.

Best Way To Farm Pyroxene
The best time to farm Pyroxene is after you have completed at least the game’s first chapter. This is because you unlock the “Eyes of the Sacred Bird” and will also have several Waypoints available and gates open.
Fast travelto the Jing Province; you could use other waypoints and paths that work best for you, but for this example, let us start from here.
Use the Baqiu Port to cross the Chibi Sea. While you may not find any Pyroxene in this region, it should refresh the rest of the overworld that hasn’t loaded yet.
Now, use your horse and scan the area with Eyes of the Sacred Bird to easily spot any Pyroxene nodes that must have spawned.
Collect it and make your way north across the Yellow River to Beiping. As the nodes have a random spawn chance, there is no particular location where you may find them, so keep an eye out so you do not miss out on any.
Once you have collected them all, simply fast-travel back to Jing Province or your original starting location and trace the path again until you are satisfied with the amount of Pyroxene you have.
How To Use Pyroxene To Craft Gems In Dynasty Warriors Origins
After you collect Pyroxene, you can go to any Inn to craft them into gems. Access the Create Gems tab from the Inn main menu.
One Pyroxene creates one gem. There are five different gems that you can craft, and if you craft a duplicate, it automatically gets used to upgrade the one you have already obtained.
You cannot create the gem of your choice, and it gets crafted randomly. However, sometimes you can see glow on a few gems. If you create them when they are glowing, you create only those gems and not the rest.
The five gems that you can get are:
Oblivion Gem
It increases your Attack Range.
Vortex Gem
You deal extra damage to enemies launched into the air.
Scorch Gem
You deal extra damage to enemies with parries.
Wellspring Gem
Each time you defeat 100 enemies in battle, you restore some amount of health.
Ascendance Gem
This gem gives you a chance to automatically block an incoming attack from an enemy officer.
There is no particular Gem that can be considered better than the others. So, depending on your build and playstyle, you should select the right one for you.
For example, if you haven’t unlocked the skills that let you carry extra meat buns or receive more health when using them, then Wellspring Gem could be useful for you.
Players who are good at parrying enemy takes may find better use of the Scorch Gem with its additional damage.
