WhileDying Light: The Beast was originally set to be released next month, that’s not happening anymore, as the spinoff game is now officially delayed.
The wait won’t be long, as Techland aims to release it just a month later, in September.

For those worried about what this might mean to the game, Techland has issued a letter explaining why they’re delaying the game, and it doesn’t seem like it’s a serious matter.
Dying Light: The Beast Release Pushed Back For More Polish
In a press release sent by Techland, the studio announced the new Dying Light: The Beast release date, set for June 16, 2025.
This means the zombie game will be pushed back by four weeks in total. Techland cites that they will be applying more polish to the game and has even issued a letter explaining the delay to fans.

Techland states, “As we’re closing in on the launch of Dying Light: The Beast, everyone at the studio feels your excitement. More than 150 previews were published this week from journalists and content creators and their response was universally positive. We’re blushing about quotes like “nailbiting survival horror”, “absolute blast”, “project with a soul” and being called a “standout game of 2025”. It proved the gut feeling that we had already - we’re making a very special, fun game.”
Some of the items Techland seeks to improve before release include “fine-tuning the balance of gameplay elements, looking into clarity of UI, increasing the quality of physics, as well as tweaking cutscenes and player animations further, as well as adding the last little details.”

Dying Light: The Beast Preview: A Brilliant Return To The Series' Roots
Dying Light’s latest offering feels like a return to the horror-fueled antics in Harran.
Techland also confirmed Dying Light: The Beast will be present at gamescom next month, which means we should see more of the zombie game in August, even if it’ll miss its targeted original release date.

While Techland looks to polish the game. What we’ve played so far earlier this month shows the title is in a pretty good spot already. Our previeweven mentions, “All in all, Dying Light: The Beast feels like a U-turn in the best way possible, ditching Dying Light 2’s lackluster design for one that harks back to the horror-centric brilliance of the series' original.”
Even if Dying Light: The Beast isn’t a full-fledged numbered entry in the franchise, this standalone experiencewill require a good amount of time commitment for players to complete.

Dying Light: The Beast will launch on its new release date of September 19 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
