Celebrity feuds are as common as day and while some may only be verbal and some on social media, others take a more physical turn. Something similar happened between Drake and Diddy back in 2014 when they broke into a fight outside the nightclub and the latter ended up allegedly punching the former. While many chalk it up to girl trouble, Wendy Williams once served some serious tea about the brawl and it is hot, hot, hot!

Apparently, it all started with the hit song,0 to 100 / The Catch Upby Drake. The song was an instant jam and has remained an iconic addition to the singer’s portfolio. However, as per television host Wendy Williams, the song was offered to both Drake and Diddy and when the former ended up taking it for himself, it didn’t sit right with the latter. Wendy Williams was completely on Diddy’s side but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t have some fun with it!

Released in 2014, 0 to 100 went on to receive critical acclaim and was named one of the 10 Best Songs of 2014 by Billboard. It also received nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. All of this could have beenDiddy’s.

In an old episode ofThe Wendy Williams Show, the host began her ‘Celebrity Fight’ segment, and this time, the topic wasDrakevs. Diddy. Talking about their brawl outside LIV nightclub in Miami,Wendy Williamsstated,
The city, Miami. The nightclub, LIV. Puffy was furious, well, some people were saying Puffy was furious because Drake tried to hit on his girlfriend Cassie but that’s not what happened. What happened is, Puffy’s furious that Drake scored the song 0 to 100 because Puffy felt the song belonged to him, meaning Puffy.

Elaborating further, Williams added that the song was given to both artists and while Diddy took his own time to think about whether he wanted to do it or not, Drake ended up liking, recording, and releasing it.
The song was given to both gentlemen and Puffy was sitting on it for a long time like you know, ‘I’ll get back to it…I haven’t even listened to it it…I’ll get round to it…’ In the meantime, Drake’s like, ‘I like this song I want to record this song. Is Puffy going to do it or not…’ So, Drake ended up recording it and as you know, that’s the song of the summer. Puffy missed out on a big hit. So, the guys see each other at LIV nightclub, next thing you know Puffy punches Drake in the face.

Here’s where Williams begins to take Diddy’s side on the whole fiasco, calling Drake out for being disrespectful towards the industry mogul. Doing so, she very subtly disses Diddy along the way.
Wendy William supports and disses Diddy
After giving the tea on the drama, Williams came for Drake and his supposed habit of disrespecting Diddy. She stated that the punch was 10 months long overdue and pulled up a video from a concert where Drake snatched Diddy’s mic and continued to sing.

For context, theGod’s Plansinger’s mic stopped working and instead of getting a new one from backstage, he simply grabbed Diddy’s mic and continued singing, leaving the rapper hella confused.
As far as Williams is concerned,

Drake has a history of disrespecting Puffy and I’ve got the video footage to prove it…You don’t snatch somebody’s microphone…Now we all know that Drake is very talented. He sings, he raps, some people think he’s very handsome…but maybe this has gone to his head where he just feels as though he can walk around and disrespect a legend.
She went on to sing Diddy’s praise and his longevity in the industry before adding,“Respect that man’s age. He’s almost fifty.”She later said that Drake should have apologized immediately.

In her words,“There’s so many other things you can do than grab the microphone of one of your elders. I’m just saying, respect the age.”For context, Diddy is 55 years old right now and Drake is 38. Almost a two-decade-long difference between the two.
While Williams criticized Drake, she sure did it in her own style, slyly pulling Diddy into the fire as well.
