Dragon’s Dogma 2is an expansive, fantastical world to immerse in from the get-go, filled with some of the most charismatic and obedient NPCs in gaming history and several mythical creatures to battle. While some players are discovering inventive ways to conquer the variety of beasts, others are trying to scale them for the perfect photo opportunity or to fly across the land.
Residing in isolation as a keeper of puzzles, the Sphinx- a figure inspired by Greek mythology - has a nightmarish face but holds a wealth of treasure for players’ rewards. However, there’s no mistaking how freeing the creature’s bosoms are and one player instantly regretted trying to climb on the Sphinx for an innocent photo.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Just Lowered The Price To Change Your Pawn’s Inclination, But It’s Still Pointless
It’s now cheaper to change your pawn’s inclination, but there’s still an even cheaper method.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Booby Trap
The Arisen in question,@SongbirdN7on X, posted a clip of their character attempting to climb the Sphinx front-facing, and it became apparent there was only one way up. Due to the awkward position of the beast’s wings, the only logical way to grab hold was around the Sphinx’s assets, which immediately turned into a bit of an ick. Captioning the clip, Songbird wrote: “My biggest critique of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is that there’s no way to climb onto the Sphinx without looking like a huge perv I swear I just wanted a screenshot of my Arisen on your shoulder…”
It didn’t help matters when the Sphinx decided to flail around after the Arisen took hold to try and get the intruder to detach, which was successful. The shocked and disappointed face of the Sphinx looking down at the ashamed character only made matters worse - amplified by one commenter who decided to zoom in and screenshot the reaction - and it’s understandable why the player felt like a self-titled “huge perv” afterward.

Another commenter pointed out the Arisen’s admirable attempt to build up momentum before lunging in, suggesting the player was perhaps reaching for the Sphinx’s necklace or hair instead. A third spectator kindly informed the player and onlookers that the best way to mount the Sphinx was after the final riddle when it turned to leave, saving other Arisens from going through the same embarrassment.
Of course, a handful of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 player pool will have nefarious intentions regarding the Sphinx’s body, which is likely why Capcom implemented the creature’s defensive reflex. Luckily, there are several morally-aligned gamers with pure intentions, but either way, the Sphinx is having none of it.
