Getting out of Gaol is easy enough if you’re prepared for it, and extremely expensive if you’re caught off guard. Here are all possible ways to get out that we’ve discovered so far.

Makeshift Gaol Key
The Makeshift Gaol key is a one-time-use itemthat allows you to escape prison once if you have it in your inventory when you’re captured. All your equipment and items will be taken away from you when you land in jail but the Makeshift Gaol key remains.
There are two ways to get a Makeshift Gaol Key.
Don’t worry about your items; everything will automatically return to you once you get far enough from the jail cell.
Duplicate Gaol Key
During the quest ‘The Caged Magistrate’, Captain Brant will give you anunbreakable Gaol Keythat can be reused infinite times. However, once the quest is complete, he’ll take it away.
A clever workaround to retaining the abilities of the Gaol key is bymaking a forgery.Travel toCheckpoint Rest Townby taking thewestern Oxcartin Vernworth and talk to Ibrahim at theScrap Storeto create a duplicate Gaol Key for you. It’ll take him a few days, but it’ll last forever.
Breakable Wall
Sometimes the wall of the jail cell will have abreakable wall, identifiable by a noticeable crack in it. Attack the back wall and if it gives way, it’ll lead you to a tunnel that exits out into the Slums.
Bribing The Guards
Bribing the Guards should be your last resort, as they don’t come cheap. If all else fails, you’ll have to hand over alarge chunk of your goldto claim freedom. The amount the guards claim as the bribe depends on how much gold you have in your name.The richer you are, the bigger the bribe.
Reloading for an inn savewill allow you to avoid paying the bribe. But ensure you remember when your most recent inn visit was, as it’s incredibly easy to lose hours of progress.
