10 Largest Open-World Video Game Maps, Ranked

Are video games becoming too big? These titles with the largest open-world maps don’t think so.

After an Augment is purchased, that character can equip that Augment when any Vocation is equipped, but each Vocation’s Augments are made to highlight the playstyle of specific vocations. The Fighter is one of the first Vocations players can choose from; here is each Augment for that Vocation, ranked.

Hold Enemies Longer

Picking up and throwing enemies is arguably one of the most fun things a player can do in combat. As long as the enemy is close to the same size as the player, they can be picked up and tossed in any direction the player wishes. Of course, enemies who are picked up will fight back and attempt to hurt the player and get down.

This Augment allows players to pick up or pin enemies for longer, and while that sounds good on paper, it doesn’t have as many uses in combat as one may hope. Enemies picked up or pinned will need to be taken care of fast, as both options will have the player left as an open target for other enemies. This Augment is useful, but its uses pale in comparison to the others on this list.

4Diligence

Get Back Up Quicker

Diligence makes players get up quicker when crawling or down, both of which are status effects that occur when the player is slammed to the ground or tossed in the air and lands hard. As the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is full of large monsters to fight, this happens fairly often, and players will find themselves on the ground more often than they’d expect.

As a Fighter’s role is to be up close and personal with enemies of all sizes, their odds of being slammed to the ground are greatly increased. As this is a passive buff, it won’t take up any space for other Fighter Augments. Overall, it does have its uses, but using the right skills or dominating a fight will often see players being thrown to the ground less often and using the Augment less and less as the game and their skills progress.

3Provocation

Be Targeted By Enemies Easier

Provocation makes it more likely for enemies to target the Fighter, as drawing in enemy attention is the main purpose for this Vocation. While there is a Combat Skill that does this for all nearby enemies without fail, this Augment can be used to replace that skill to open up an additional slot for another Combat Skill.

DualShockers Definitives: 10 Best Xbox Series X/S RPGs

There are many incredible RPGs available on the Xbox Series X/S, but these are the best RPGs the console has to offer.

Players are given six Augment slots and only four combat skills slots, making this a worthwhile trade-off for higher ranking Fighters. While it won’t guarantee an enemy to focus on the player, it will offer a noticeable difference, with it often operating at 50% efficiency compared to the guaranteed skill.

Increase Your Physical Defense

Mettle increases your physical defense, a straightforward and very useful passive buff. Fighters will continuously be searching for the next strongest and heaviest armor to ensure they are prepared for any attack the enemy throws their way. Often being targeted by most enemies in a fight, this additional boost in defense is very well needed.

This Augment can help players increase their defense well beyond the benefits of most armor and offers a very noticeable boost earlier in the game. Despite a Fighter’s shield blocking most incoming damage, this additional defense is a useful fallback for when there are too many enemies or the player runsout of Stamina.

Increased Carry Capacity

As a Fighter will wear heavy armor, a sword, and a shield, it’s a given that they will be carrying some of the heaviest loads in the game. With Thew, the Fighter’s total carry capacity will be increased. Carry Capacity directly affects how quickly and effectively your character recovers Stamina, which is a vital resource in combat.

Increasing a Fighter’s carry capacity is practically a necessity, as their heavy armor will make it difficult to carry even a singleCamping Kit.Stamina is required to use Combat Skills, climb on enemies, or block with your shield, all of which are useful options in battle. While one ring slot should be used to boost Stamina, this Augment helps open up the other ring slot for something else while still greatly boosting the Fighter’s base carry capacity.
