Dragon’s Dogma 2: Every Warrior Weapon Skill, Ranked

Warrior is one of the best vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but you’ll be an even better if you use the best weapon skills.

The Archer Vocation is one of the three starting Vocations, allowing players to unlock this Vocation’s Augments right from the start of the game. Players looking for their ultimate end-game build will want to know which Augments are worth unlocking and which ones are better left alone.

5Ambuscade (C-Tier)

Unlock Rank

Description

Increases damage dealt by your attacks when targets are not in battle stance (+10%).

Ambuscale is averysituational Augment that you won’t want to put on any character unless they have the Archer Vocation, and in some niche cases, theMagick Archer Vocation. The reason being that for this Augment to work, you need to have the enemy outside of a battle stance and typically this is only true for Archers.

At range, this allows an Archer to take out unsuspecting low-tier mobs at a distance without having to engage with them properly. This is especially so with the skill Keen Shot, as it allows you to fire from extremely far away. On Magick Archers, this Augment shines when combined with Martyr’s Bolt (the skill that one-shots bosses).

4Radiance (C-Tier)

Causes your lantern to consume less oil (2/3rds slower) and illuminate a wider area (double size).

A somewhat situational Augment that can either come in extremely handy or be downright useless depending on how you plan on playing the game. If you’re likely to go dungeon diving or exploring the wilderness at night, Radiance can come in quite useful. Otherwise there is no point to it.

One thing that moves this Augment further down the list is that while Lantern Oil is somewhat heavy, it costs next to nothing to make, and you’re very likely to come across the required ingredients to craft this item just through regular exploration. I would suggest putting this Augment on if you don’t have anything better to have.

3Avidity (B-Tier)

Enables you to clamber up cliffs and scale foes and other surfaces more quickly (+10%).

Despite being unlocked at Vocation rank 9, Avidity is a bit underwhelming. DD2 doesn’t have enough verticality to merit this Augment on that aspect alone, making it essentially useless in this regard. But, the ability to climb enemies quicker can come in quite useful as it allows you to spend less Stamina on theback of a Draketrying to get to its heart and more Stamina doing the actual swinging.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Best Items To Duplicate At The Forger

Duplicating items at the forger is a cool mechanic in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This guide breaks down the best (and worst) items to duplicate in DD2.

Avidity is also a bit of a standout Augment in that it doesn’t actually help the Archer vocation itselfat all.Its entire value lies in being able to climb stuff better and Archers are never supposed to be doing that. It is much more useful in the hands of a Thief as they need to do a lot of scaling enemies to get the most out of their toolkit. Maybe this isCapcom’sway of encouragingswitching Vocations? Who knows.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 character is duplicating items at the Ibrahim’s Scrap Store.

2Lethality (A-Tier)

Increases damage dealt when striking a target’s vitals (+5%).

Lethality is one of the best Augments in the entire game because, like Endurance, it isalwaysuseful to have. Dealing with small enemies like wolves and goblins doesn’t require you to deal any appreciable amount of damage to their vitals. However, once you start taking on larger monsters like Cyclops, Ogres, Minotaurs, Golems, and eventually, even Drakes and Dragons, you’ll find that dealing damage to these enemies anywhere other than their vitals is like tickling them with a feather.

At a certain point, if you’re dealing damage to vitals, you’re not doing damage (especially true for Golems). When the health bar gets big enough, the only recourse left to players is to look for the point where it hurts and focus their attacks there. Lethality makes this recommended, no,requiredstrategy more effective.

1Endurance (S-Tier)

Increases your maximum Stamina (+150).

Endurance is an S-tier Augment that should be the number one reason you should try to level the Archer vocation at all.Increasing base staminais universally useful and every single class’s every single skill uses Stamina. You can never have enough of it. Stamina is used for literally everything you can possibly do in the game. And since this Augment increases the base Stamina and not Stamina regeneration, it means you can spam high Stamina skills likeMystic Spearhand’sWild Furiemore times before you run out of steam.

The increase is not extremely significant, mind. You only get a mild boost from our testing but since it is never a waste to have more Stamina, I can’t recommend Endurance enough, especially since it becomes available so early on.
