However, a Russian YouTuber, Meepongeroi, has taken things to the extreme. As seen in the Twitter/X video, the YouTuber has managed to merge the worlds ofDota 2with Valve’s latest project,Deadlock, allowing teams to battle it out using characters with their respective perspectives.

This crossover is essentiallyDotavsDeadlockheroes, and depending on who you end up picking, you’ll play from that particular perspective. It’s certainly a bizarre blend but quite fun and absolutely chaotic! It might be time for Valve to take a look at this project and bring it into regular arcade mode over time.
So, how exactly does this work? Well, somehow, the creators of this crossover have managed to buildDeadlockinsideDotaitself. All of this is possible due to the fact that both gamesare running on the same Source engine. It’s just been two months since the release of Valve’s latest game, and we’re already seeing such innovations, proving that the future is bright for the shooter.

Valve’s Future Lies withDeadlock
Valve officially gave us a look atDeadlockon August 23rd, 2024. However,the game is still in active developmentwith lots of experimental gameplay and temporary additions. As of now, we still don’t have an official release date for the game, and it is currently locked to friend invites via our playtesters.
Deadlockis a 6v6 MOBA third-person shooter in which your team must gain control over a map by fighting off against the opposing team and punishing them back, but gamers are also leading an army of NPC grunts down four lanes to wreak the opposing team’s stationary defenses.

In the last couple of years, many gamers have accused the studio of abandoning its games and focussing on sales from Steam. However,Deadlock‘s success so far proves that Valve is still committed to the gaming community.
