Moon Knight Episode 3 Ending Hints at a Difficult Journey for Marc
In the episode, Khonshu is ready to cross every line in order to stop Arthur and calls for a meeting with Ennead. There, we meet Avatars of other Gods, who condemn Khonshu for interfering with the affairs of men. However, Khonshu says that he is doing all this to stop Arthur from bringing back Ammit. Listening to this, Ennead summons Arthur; however, he rejects all the accusations and shifts the Gods' focus on Marc’s mental health and how Khonshu is abusing this tormented man. So, the Gods conclude the matter without double-checking Arthur’s intentions.
Finally, Marc leans that there’s another way of finding Ammit’s tomb, which is Senfu’s Sacrofagus. Apparently, Ammit was buried in secret, and even Gods don’t know the location of Ammit’s tomb. However, they tasked Senfu to record Ammit’s burial site in case the Gods change their mind sometime in the future.
Marc, with the help ofLayla, finds Senfu’s Sacrofagus, and Steven helps them decipher the location of Ammit’s tomb. The only problem is that Ammit’s location was recorded 2000 years ago, so the stars have shifted from their place. To know the exact location of Ammit’s gravesite, they must know where the stars were 2000 years ago. At this point, Khonshu shifts the stars in the present time to where they were all those years back. Of course, this angers the Ennead, and they imprison Khonshu in a stone, which is something the Egyptian God of Moon knew would happen.
At this point, it’s unclear how and when Marc will free Khonshu, but one thing’s for sure; Marc will have to fight against Arthur and his sickened men without Khonshu. It’s safe to assume that Marc and Steven can still use Khonshu’s powers because Marc is still his Avatar. Arthur can tap into Ammit’s powers even though the Goddess is trapped, and it will be the same with Marc after Khonshu’s imprisonment.
