Banishers: Ghosts of New Edenis the new talk of the gaming town, as the action RPG by Don’t Nod is actually quite an amazing game and may have even exceeded expectations of many. The title was released two days ago, on February 13, and ever since its launch, it has been receiving stellar reviews from critics and players alike.

Although there are not many complaints about its console versions, as those have been mostly bug-free and do not include any game-breaking experiences, its PC counterpart seems to be a little less smooth.
Some PC players have reported that Don’t Nod’s game keeps shutting down at different frequencies.

The PC Version of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Reportedly Has Game-Breaking Issues
A player took to theBanisherssubreddit toseekhelp regarding a massive problem with the PC version ofGhosts of New Eden. Console players should consider themselves lucky because, according to the Reddit user, the “game keeps crashing anytime”they attempt to pick up an in-game item. That seems to be a huge game-breaking bug, and the uploader was not the only one who was facing this issue, as another player commented and reported the exact same situation.

Although such a bug could get a player’s mind off Don’t Nod’s title, there seems to be a simple enough cure that can provide a much smoother and better experience while playing the game on PC. The issue is apparently because of the graphic card settings that one’s PC has, so if it keeps crashing for you too every time you pick up an in-game item, try switching “from DLSS to FSR 2.2 and TAA,” which, according to yet another Reddit user, fixes the problem.
Unfortunately, there are other players facing far worse issues with the PC version.

Another PC Player’s Game Crashes to the Desktop “Every 5 Minutes”
One playerreportedthat something is causingGhosts of New Edento “crash to desktop every 5 minutes or so,” stating that they are not exactly having the best time with it after downloading and installing it from Steam. The Reddit user knows that they “would really enjoy it,” but the horrendous bug keeps messing everything up, as they called it “unplayable at the moment.”
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (PS5) Review
And what do you know? This issue was caused by the video graphic card settings as well.
Since the solution seems to be common among most of these game-breaking crashes, some PC players may just benefit from turning off the DLSS upsampling and setting it to TAA instead to make the game a seamless experience. But if you are a DLSS enthusiast, you may have to wait a little while for an official fix by Don’t Nod.
