Netflix’sSex Educationis currently under scrutiny after series actor gets arrested for sually assaulting minors. Alexander Westwood, who played a part in the blockbuster Netflix show, was convicted after a trial spanning four weeks to be guilty of r*ping a 16 year old girl, as well as sually assaulting a child over an eight year period between from 2010 and 2018.

He was accused and later found guilty of 26 charges of s**ual offenses, which include minors who came to him for acting classes between 2020 to 2021. Although he denied the allegations initially, the trial found him to be guilty. The sentencing for his crimes is expected to take place on February 25th at the Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Alexander Westwood, who hails from Shropshire, was credited for appearances on multiple episodes of Netflix’s hit showSex Education. This is supposedly what provided him with the spotlight that was necessary to attract impressionable youngsters in his vicinity in the name of acting lessons.
The lawsuits against him provide harrowing accounts of him forcing the victims to undress and then s**ually assaulting them. Prosecutor Andrew Wallace, who termed him a“predator,”narrated,

As fame beckons, he met two impressionable 16-year-olds and used his revered position to abuse them.
According to Wallace, Alexander Westwood cornered one of said teenagers talking about a particular scene in another Netflix showBridgerton, where Daphne Bridgerton, played byPhoebe Dynevor, performs a self-pleasuring act on screen. When the teenager, who was also the r*pe victim, argued with him, he rebuffed her saying,“Do what your teacher says.”

Another teenager was urged to undress in front of Alexander Westwood in the guise of going through a scene inspired by Greek mythology. Following which, Westwood assaulted her by touching her private parts.
According to aBBCreport, the court heard the account of another victim who Alexander Westwood assaulted between 2020 and 2021. She bit him to run away from the dangerous situation.

A report fromLBC Newsdivulged that Alexander Westwood maintained during his trial that he sent a letter to another teen actress and a victim of his harassment. However, while Westwood seemed to agree in the letter that his behavior was predatory, it was apparently in a non-s**ual way.
According to theSex Educationactor, his father made him send that letter, disregarding his unwillingness to the teen actress, and explain that his behavior was,“predatory in a sexual way”.He further explained,

I did not want to write the letter… I held out for three days but he had words with me. And it was his house, so it was his rules.
The prosecutors in the case termed him as a“supreme manipulator,”and a“rotten apple,”who made s**ually assaulting people into his“lifestyle.”
