Diablo 4’s community loves to math out builds at the start of each season. Season of the Construct has been interesting in this regard because of the balancing changes. While this mostly meant that already discovered builds rearranged themselves on the tier list, one new build has been sweeping Barbarian players off of their feet.

The Charge Barbarian is an S-tier build popularized bystreamer Rob2628that is capable of being run either while leveling or as an end-game build. It has high mobility, damage, and is engaging to play. Keep reading for tips and tricks on playing the Charge Barbarian, including which abilities to choose, paragon boards and glyphs to focus on, and the key Aspects of the build.

How To Play The Charge Barbarian
The Charge Barbarian lives and breathes the ability from which the build has gotten its' name. For optimal play, your goal will be to get the cooldown of your Charge as low as possible, while maintaining a good rotation of resource generation and Berserking uptime. In this iteration of the build,we’ll be using Bleed Damage to generate Tanky stats, and layering Crowd Control.
While playing, the setup will be to build your Fury and your damage bonus from the Veteran Brawler’s Aspect up to max. Then, Charge the enemy. Once you’ve charged, use your Shouts, Ultimate, and Core Skill to burst them down. If an enemy dies within 2 seconds, they’ll explode. If not, you have the ever-reliable Rend to fall back on until your Charge is up again.

Skill Tree Setup For The Charge Barbarian
You’ll notice that the majority of skills in a Charge Barbarian’s Skill Tree only have one point in them. This build has a tendency to focus on Charge and various passives for the majority of its points, regardless of which variation you are following. This iteration of the Charge barbarian is going to be using Bleed damage synergies and Crowd Control to stayFortifiedand Healthy.
Basic Skills
Core Skills
Defensive Skills
Other popular versions of the Charge Barbarian switch Ground Stomp out for Rallying Cry, but this is dependent on preference - you may still hit your Cooldown Reduction breakpoint without it.
Brawling Skills
If you’ve chosen to grab Rallying Cry, then you may feel the need to switch out a point or two from Swiftness into Booming Voice instead.
Weapon Mastery Skills
Ultimate Skills
The passives here are chosen with the expectation that you are using Bludgeoning Weapons on your Charge - adjust as necessary.
Key Passive
This build doesn’t have a mandatory Key Passive.Either Walking Arsenal or Unconstrained can be good choices. If your set-up is using each type of two-handers for the Basic and Core Skills respectively, and then the Dual-Wielded Weapons for your Charge then use Walking Arsenal. Otherwise, use Unconstrained.

The Barbarian comes equipped with four weapons in Diablo 4, but how do you switch between them?
Weapon Expertise
We’ll be usingthe Two-Handed Axe Expertise. This will buff both our raw damage and our Critical Strike Chance.
Paragon Boards & Glyphs For Charge Barbarian
The Paragon Boards and Glyphs used in the Charge Barbarian build are fairly consistent, even with the variations seen in the build. They focus on guaranteeingOverpower damage, and the Marshal Glyph. However, this version adds the Hemorrhage Board and
Bloodfeeder Glyph to support the focus on Bleed. You’ll choose the following Paragon Board and Glyph at each opportunity:

The Glyphs you should prioritize leveling are Marshal, Brawl, and Mortal Draw.
If you’re playing the Charge Barbarian as a leveling build, it is worth putting the Marshal Glyph into the Decimator Board, and then relocating it later.
