(Update: PlayStation.Bloghas since announcedthat Sayonara Wild Hearts was erroneously added to its list of January releases and will not be appearing on PlayStation Plus this month.)
PlayStation 5owners will be having a feast with four PlayStation 5 games (or PS5 editions) coming this month:Back 4 Blood,Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Jett: The Far Shore, andDevil May Cry 5: Special Edition. It was easier to enjoy a multiplayer game such as Back 4 Blood (the spiritual successor toLeft 4 Dead) when it first debuted on Xbox Game Pass two years ago, but PlayStation owners did not have that privilege at the time. The game also received two new expansions this year,“Tunnles of Terror” and “Children of The Worm”, shaping the experience to be even better for new players than its original debut.

Devil May Cry and Just Cause are also getting added as their full content editions that include next-gen upgrades and expansion DLC. Lovers of narrative experiences are not getting left out either, as the Plus selection adds threePlayStation 4games where your decisions shape the narrative:Life is Strange, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and Erica. Omno and Sayonara Wild Hearts are two PS4 games for those interested in something a little off the beaten path, with one having you explore a lost civilization, and the other taking you on a journey across the universe, so this time it’s a selection with many unique flavors.
Dragon Ball Fighter Zfor PS4 sadly doesn’t come with any DLC or season pass content included, but thankfully this game allows you to buy your preferred character separately instead of whole packs of characters you won’t be really using.
And lastly, fans of retro flavors will be able to enjoy Syphon Filter 3, Star Wars Demolition, and Hot Shots Golf 2. These games probably need no introduction, but the most intriguing here is that each of them will come enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters. Syphon Filter 3 is also getting a new extended two-player deathmatch mode to add further replay value to the beloved classic.
