This is the first part of our guide series on the hidden mission inDestiny 2to acquire Wicked Implement, the Exotic Scout Rifle in Season of the Deep. The mission includes four different parts and requires players to catch three unique Exotic fish, obtain three different Broken Blades, and finally offer them to a number of hidden Hive statues.

As you may already guess, catching Exotic fish is a time-consuming process, butBungiehas actually increased the drop rate of Exotic fish since they started to roll out new weekly steps for this quest, but it remains unknown how long this buff will remain active. As a result, we suggest you go fishing as soon as you can before Season of the Deep finishes.
Acquire Whispering Mothcarp Exotic Fish
This hidden quest begins with catching theWhispering Mothcarp Exotic fish. You have probably noticed that since Week 5, a new Fishing Rally quest has been available. The first rally took place inSavathun’s Throne Worldwhich required players tocatch up to 600 fishin six different steps. This is a quest that will expire with the week 6 reset, but the secret behind this quest is the fact that this is the place you may acquire Whispering Mothcarp. This fishing pond will always remain the only location to catch Whispering Mothcarp, even after the rally ends.
As for all Exotic fish, it really depends on your luck on when you can acquire Whispering Mothcarp, but if you go fishing with a full Fireteam crew, you can rapidly stack up theFocused Fishing bar, which increases your chance of getting high rarity fish.
Turn In The Fish At The H.E.L.M.
Once you catch Whispering Mothcarp, all you need to do is totake it to the Sonar Station’s room in the H.E.L.M. andrelease the fishusing the container in there. As soon as you release it, you will get anExotic gear, but next to it, you will also receive aLegendary item called Broken Blade Of Strife. This item will move into your inventory, and clearly, you can’t do anything with it for now. But, there is actually a certain location where you can deposit this item as a gift.
Offer Broken Blade Of Strife In Deep Dive Activity
Now that you have the mysterious item,launch a normal Deep Dive activitythrough the H.E.L.M. on your Destinations tab. As soon as youdive deep into the waterand open up the first door, you will find a way leading deeper into the water. Drop down, and then look to your left, whereyou should spot a bunch of small fishswimming in groups. Move towards them, and thenlook to your right. You should be able to seea passage where you need to crouchto go through.
Once you get out of the small passage, a prompt will appear on your screen saying"Harvest For Aquarium.“While harvesting here is not necessary for proceeding with the quest,this is a sign that you have come to the correct location.
Now,look to your right,andthere should be a statue a little deeperin the water. Jump down and stand in front of it. Another interaction prompt will appear:“Offer Broken Blade.“If you offer the item, you will spot thatthe statue will be bounded by flame.
You have successfully completed the first part. The second part of this mission requires you to catch a new fish and claimBroken Blade of Ambition.
