Demon Slayerhas followed its usual trend and announced the fourth season of the series right after the third season has come to an end. The news has been announced with a new Tweet shared by Ufotable, which has sent a wave of excitement among the fandom. That said, given the show’s popularity, the announcement is nothing more than a formality, and we were already led to believe that the creators have been working on the show, bringing the epic battles from the manga to life.

A few weeks earlier, it had been rumored that season 4 of Demon Slayer was in production, and now we have an official confirmation. And to commemorate the news, Ufotable has released a fresh promotional video on the official YouTube channel of Aniplex, which reveals the major characters of the upcoming arc, the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, and the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa. Along with them, the promotional video has also given a good look at the Serpent Hashira, Obanai Iguro, Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka, Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, and the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho.

It’s too soon to give an exact release date, or even a release window, for the fifth season, but we can expect to hear more details as the production progresses in the coming months. And given the time the past seasons have taken to release, we souldn’t expect Demon Slayer season 4 to air anytime sooner than the end of 2024.

If you think you have seen the biggest battles of Demon Slayer with the Mugan Train Arc, Entertainment District Arc, or the Swordsmith Village Arc, then you are highly mistaken, as this is just the start. Season 4 will adapt the Hashira Training Arc from the series, which spanned across chapters 128 to 136. This arc showcased the immense strength of the strongest Hashiras and their efforts in making our young Demon Slayers as strong as they themselves are. Furthermore, fans will see Tanjiro’s resolve to become stronger, for which he approaches Gyomei and asks Gyomei to train him. On the other hand, Muzan seems furious at the death of two more Upper Moons and searches for Ubuyashiki and Nezuko.

With the announcement for the fourth season finally official, fans look forward to getting filled in with more information soon. Only time will reveal what’s in store for us. Until then, we’ll have to wait for more official confirmations.
