With the release of the fifth episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc, fans are left wondering about the fate of Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira.

As of the latest episode, Muichiro Tokito seems to be in a dire situation. He has fallen into the trap of Gyokko, the Upper Moon 5, and there appears to be no way for him to escape. This has left fans of the series worried about whether or not their beloved Mist Hashira will make it out alive.
What Happened In Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc Episode 5
After fighting some of Gyokko’s fish monsters, Muichiro finally gets to come one on one with the Upper Moon Five Demon. After an encounter for a few minutes,Muichiro got hold of Gyokko’s powers and a few of his abilities. But, being one of Twelve Kizuki simply means that Gyokko is not someone to take lightly. While saving Hotetsu and his friend from the “Thousand Needle Fish Kill” attack, Muichiro stepped in and took the damage, and got stuck with several needles in his body, including his face. What’s more terrifying was the fact that the needles were poisoned and would slowly make Muichiro’s body numb.
Then, while battling him again, Gyokko used his Blood Demon Arc to summon one of his pots and trapped Muichiro inside the water, making him incapable of using his Breathing Technique. Also, the Density of the water made it difficult for Muichiro to use his blade and cut through the water.
Will Muichiro Tokito Survive The Attack?
Fortunately, it’s not over for Muichiro Tokito yet. While trapped in Gyokko’s water, he will realize that he still has enough air to use at least one of his attacks, so he will useFirst Form: Low Clouds, Distant Haze.But the attack isn’t powerful enough to break the trap, and Muichiro gets out of oxygen. At this point, he decides to accept his fate, only to get Tanjiro’s continuous memories, motivating him with his wise words.
On the other hand, Gyokko continues to attack Kotetsu and the others, but Kotetsu takes the risk to approach Muichiro to help him free the trap. Muichiro, as we all know, will remain too stubborn to take someone’s help, but Tanjiro’s visions will motivate him and tell him it is fine to take help someone’s help. Kotetsu will come as a savior and slash the water and blow enough air inside the water to provide Muichiro with enough oxygen to performMist Breathing, Second Form: Eight-Layered Mist, and free himself from Gyokko’s trap.
Will Muichiro Die Later In The Series?
The battle with Gyokko will be an intense one, but our Mist Hashira is strong enough to defeat him on his own. However, the other battle he will fight is not going to be anything like this one. In the Infinity Castle Arc, Muichiro will battle against the Demon of his own bloodline, Kokushibo, Upper-Rank One Demon.
In a fierce battle, Kokushibo will praise the young boy for his exceptional skills, but as we all know, he doesn’t stand a chance against Kokushibo. The Demon will ultimately kill Muichiro, and it is going to be the most heart-wrenching display for the fans.Kokushibo will obliterate both his arms and legs and stab Muichiro Tokito to death.While Muichiro will be gone, his undeniable fighting abilities and persona will leave a permanent mark on our hearts.
