By the looks of it,Death Stranding 2: On the Beachappears to be another Hideo Kojima game at the deepest level. Players can expect an engrossing narrative, complex characters, and everything you’d expect from a Kojima-developed game. However, that doesn’t mean the legendary game creator isn’t opposed to offering something new in his games.
In Death Stranding 2, Kojima is making it so that players who are playing the game more for the story than the gameplay won’t be frustrated if they come across encounters they can’t overcome.

Death Stranding 2 Will Provide Story Details To Players Who Don’t Want To Engage In Boss Fights
While it’s normal for games to have an “easy” mode as part of its accessibility offerings, Kojima is taking it one step further, as it will let players skip boss fights entirely.
This was revealed by Hideo Kojima during the latest TBS podcast (viaGenki) where it’s mentioned that once a player loses a boss battle (presumably in Easy mode), there will be an extra option on the game over screen below the “continue” option, which will let players clear the boss battle without actually fighting said boss. Instead, players will be treated to images and text descriptions of the battle that will be more of a novel.

While Death Stranding 1’s boss battles weren’t hard to begin with, this should further help gamers who want to experience the story. Those who want to play through the game normally can do so. No word if trophies will be affected by boss skips, but I would imagine so.
While I understand some gamers might feel like this caters to casual gamers, I don’t see anything wrong with it. I mean, the boss fights are still there; this is just another way for players who aren’t so skilled or need help to experience the game for themselves without having to use guides or have someone play the boss fights for them.
